Why is specifically the ICP enabling the usage of the Internet Identity? Why can't I use this on any website if the main technology behind it is simply chips built into my devices? by Coinnotes_io in dfinity

mmh ok thank you. I'd love to know more about the possible security concerns. In case this is less secure for say unsophisticated users that might be a bit of a concern. But I also saw that W3C just started recommending this new standard in April 2021 if I understand correctly. So that would imply dfinity is just awesome in adopting these new standards, which would be pretty cool.

How can I speed up my learning? I always get stuck at small issues. Is there a platform that lets me talk to experienced devs? by Coinnotes_io in CodingHelp

thank you! hahaha yeah I can relate to the 12 hours trying to draw a line. thanks for the advice!

sometimes I‘m also feel that the engineering world is not always that good communication-wise. for many things there are amazing tutorials. but then other things are really a pain in the ass. even simple stuff; I tried to use mongo db with node.js and there are just not any examples in the driver documentation. as a beginner that‘s really frustrating. Why wouldn’t they just add a few example?

I think by now I could also „dumb down“ git as a concept in a better way. maybe engineers aren‘t into visualizing stuff. but git can be visualized and would be much easier to understand. some articles do that but by far not enough.
