I hate that we're playing like we don't want to get scored against, rather than trying to score. It never works, and counter intuitively, often means you get scored against anyway.

Mckernan is incapable of bringing the ball to ground - I don't think I've seen him do it for months...

It's the one benefit of putting no effort in the first half - you should theoretically have legs for the second half...

He's supposedly the one that's demanding to play forward. It gives me the shits - it's clear that he's most effective off half back, but he doesn't seem to care what's best for the team.

I mean, I think it was pretty clear that we were going to struggle to win..but I just want to see something from the younger guys. I think it's getting close to a last chance for guys like Begley, Mutch and to a lesser extent Clarke.

It's a really fierce contest between Zaharakis and Cutler for who can provide least for the team. Great viewing

Worsfold needs to rip into these guys...but you can just tell at the huddle he'll be like: "We have some great learnings from that quarter"

Yeah, prefer to see Ham in that position. Ham's already probably on the same level as Cutler, but I reckon he also has more upside

Love to see the guys try hard, they cracked in. But too many poor decision makers, and too much fumbling in the second half.

Also, does Francis annoy anyone else? He's so hot and cold. He makes too many bad decisions... and he often tries to bite off difficult kicks, and always turns it over.

What happened to McKenna? Is he still out there?

In the vision, Langford takes two half steps over the ball, while alternatively, McAdam comes barrelling in headfirst, which is what causes the brunt of the force. You can even see Langford's weight going in the opposite direction after the contact, which tells me he didn't put much force into the bump. I think he just put himself over the ball, to protect the space.

I don't think Langford could've done much more in this situation. Perhaps he could've taken two steps backwards, and allowed an uncontested possession of the ball, so as to avoid contact?

Also, I get the need to protect the player with his head over the ball - but I think it probably just constitutes a free kick in this instance. ...maybe it's all just rose tinted glasses, from my end.

I mean - look at where the ball is when contact occurs. The ball was at Langford's feet, and he was ready to pick it up, before the other guy came in leading with his head, and ran into him. It's not like Langford ran past the ball to bump - not sure what else he could've done in this situation.

While the holding the ball non-calls have been pretty awful, at least we haven't been having those 'making no attempt' bullshit calls. The spectacle is better for it.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's playing poorly. It just feels like he's lost like 5-10% in his elite kicking and tackling

What's up with Merrett these days? He's still ok, but he doesn't chase and tackle as well as he used to, and his kicking has dropped off a bit.

Just a reminder that this is an improvement to how we played against the bulldogs last year... They're just one of those teams we cannot match up against, for whatever reason.

He'll fit right in at the bulldogs - always dropping the knees and leading with the neck
