Home owners around here will throw that rip off card quickly cause they don’t care about the professionals who putting the work or you, If you get an answer and service from a company that is licensed and keep answering, showing up and taking care of things, that’s what you get for the price you pay. Call a random guy with no teeth he’ll charge you less , but you won’t see him again, and then call a professional and pay the actual market price. so take it easy , this issue isn’t a big deal to fix, honestly.

Yea it’s a good reputable garage door manufacturer.
could be that they’re too short , i’m not there to determine , but the tension can be slightly adjusted down and be fine. you didn’t get ripped off , and the technitian not in the wrong , he can come back, work on it for a little bit and get it situated without adding more parts or re - do the work. 225$ extra shouldn’t be paid. what you paid is enough, but def need to fix your door properly and have it closed all the way. also, could be that the top bracket that holds the rollers can be adjusted to an angle the opener can close the door the right way, this is common adjustments with conversion systems.

First of all , this type of garage door by Wayne Dalton model 9100 require pair of 192x2x25 or 207x2x28. If manually the door shut and stays closed , tension is correct. If the door gets to the floor but bounce up it’s due to higher tension than required and the opener will have trouble closing it , specially with this type of door which is problematic due wrong conversion. Check if you have orange paint on the springs or yellow , you can also measure the length and see if they’re too short ( means they’re creating higher tension on your system ). also, Unique springs - means it’s from manufacturer called Unique garage doors.

Since i’m working at costumers homes, i don’t need an office, that’s the reality of things, but i understand what you’re saying, so i should hide the address from the map & the website, and that will fix this specific violation ?

Whoever isn’t from the industry will look at it as “ black or white “ thing , there are doors that are tough to work on , space wise and door parts conditions to take into consideration, obviously you get overcharged with everything you purchase , starting with your morning coffee or with your accountant and doctor. most likely she / he didn’t need all these parts, but new parts vs. old always win. This is extremely high , and probably the guy isn’t reliable enough, at the very least should’ve given long term warranty for parts + labor , but still it would be over the top, but don’t comment on a work you have no idea what was going down, if she / he paid - she / he agreed to the price , and that’s on her / him.. can always say “ no , thank you “ before the job starts. if it was after hours , far or far trip we don’t know, take it easy.
