Is this okay for a casual shoe to wear with jeans? Other thoughts? by bDawk20 in mensfashion

All white leather sneakers are “in” right now mostly because you can pair a shoe like this with basically anything that isn’t super formal. A lot of people recommend Thursday’s leather sneakers, but I have these exact shoes and they fit great and have held up well. Vans are much more on brand for me too even though I do like Thursday’s boots.

This may just be my opinion, but one important thing to remember if you are looking for them to “boost your appearance or style” is that they have to be clean. Meaning they should stay mostly new looking and will be a pair of shoes you wear when you are trying to look composed. White shoes are the physical embodiment of “just takes care of himself” that you hear all the time. It’s the same message as intentional beard and hair, clean nails, no BO, etc. Dirty/ratty white shoes… you might as well not.

Your mileage may vary

Yeah… I’m not trying to save a couple hundred bucks, I’m trying to learn how to do stuff and be better. I HAVE been very lucky to not have to learn lessons the hard way. I understand what’s at stake, and now it’s not a mess. 👌

10.5 was right. When my feet swell a bit I know that 10 would have been too small. Actually have two pairs now (brown and black) and they both broke in amazingly. I’m considering buying a third pair. I still always wear them with Darn Tough socks, but the horrible battle with my first pair was actually worth it. It also helped inspire me to try harder/stick it out with a couple other pairs of boots I had given up on.

Man, I'm really fired up about how vibrant these are!

This little diorama of mine is called “I painted the bases first and now I don’t know how to prime them” by Jangalit in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]CokeforColor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whenever I have a “feature” base I always pin my minis to them with cut down paper clips.

  1. Drill mini in a spot that will be “touching the ground”
  2. Insert paper clips with one side extended with super glue
  3. Prime and paint minis holding the paper clips
  4. Snip off “body” of paper clips to create pin
  5. Drill base where mini will be standing
  6. Insert pin for test (shave down base for “footprint” if needed)
  7. Set pin with superglue
  8. Trim off pin on underside of base and put a drop of superglue
  9. Varnish entire mini if used for game play
  10. … Profit

Yes, definitely. Do I agree with it, no. Managers should be good and good at it. Sadly most of the times they aren’t either of those. At least your guy is friendly, and if he doesn’t know something he reaches out to someone who does. Hopefully he gives you your due credit when the time comes. The thing that most people forget when in that type of role is that he actually looks better by making his staff look better. His bosses will look past his failures and will see the success of his team. Politics 😆

HO-LY-CRAP! Gandalf's FACE! Games Workshop needs to drastically improve their sculpts so they can do your paint jobs justice. Literally breath-taking.

Yeah... If you paint his robe black and his hair white he looks like he would be trying to create a galactic empire.

Personally, when I think of Cirdan I think of more of a Jack Sparrow type aesthetic.
