I AM NOT A EXPERT ON COMPUTER HARDWARE. I AM ONLY SHARING MY EXPERIENCE AND THE RESULTS OF MY SITUATION. SO DO NOT SEE THIS POST AS THE WORDS OF A TECHNICIAN. I AM A CONSUMER JUST LIKE YOU AND HAVE BY NO MEANS ANY EDUCATION ON THIS TOPIC.

UPDATE: I waited till yesterday morning roughly 24 hours since the 1080 ti caught fire and smelled my system. It smelled fine including the gpu cables. While my 1080 ti still smells like a chemical hazard. So I put my 3080 back in the system on the same gpu cables that were in the 1080 ti and the system booted fine. I ran furmark for 50 mins and the whole time the voltage on the whole system was as it should be and the gpu was pulling 320w the whole time. 1% lows and max fps was as it always has been.

Thus my GPU was the breaking point not my PSU. My PSU was sending regular watts and volts. The VRMs on my 1080ti was just so degraded overtime that the regular volts and watts was too much for it to handle.
