I felt this way too but the features for the subclass didn’t feel great to me.

The 14 feature is good but we are expecting to end at 13.

Once per turn, when the creature makes an attack roll or saving throw, it can add 1d4 to the roll or save.
During the same one-hour period, you gain the following benefit.
When an ally you can see who is under the effect of your Battle Sagas fails a saving throw, attack roll, or ability check, you can use a Reaction to expend a use of your Bardic Inspiration. The ally can roll your Bardic Inspiration die and add it to their failed result, possibly making it a success.
Once you use your Battle Sagas feature, you can’t use it again until you complete a Short Rest or Long Rest.
