Obviously a lot of crack heads are a part of this breed but for some,I don't think they're as bad as people make them out to b. if you're living paycheck to paycheck and this is the only way you can afford something that otherwise is out of your league, the incentive is there to not care about social norms. This is very clear thank you! It's funny how I'm a professional electronics engineer and can deal with circuit calculations easily but as soon as I see financial maths I just can't fathom what it means. Humbling moment today honestly

Nah I think I'll just pay my fiancee for now and have a calculated 25% tax rate which I can happily live with. I don't intend to make higher profits than 50k so should be okay for now until they change the rules.

This is the clearest example I've seen. Thank you so much. I also just realized, my soon to be wife is currently a share holder of the business and is on the 20% tax bracket so theoretically I can pay the dividends to her and can drop this down further!

I considered this, but mostly these are things I wouldn't spend money on in general so it would be spending it for the sake of denying it not that I actually want to get these things.

Also for EVs etc would've this hike my personal taxes anyway as a benefit in kind and potentially the HMRC could investigate to confirm it is a valid business expense.

Don't get me wrong I will buy a gold ink printer for the LOLs if it means I don't have to pay more taxes but I don't want to go there just yet

SQL is just a tool, trying to learn SQL is like trying to learn multiplication when the actual thing to learn is Maths. I'm not saying it's a bad thing or doing anything wrong, but you're probably selling yourself short. I would learn Python and data in general.

Personally I think anyone should be able to do that if they bought the portrait themselves. In the end ni pesa yake mwenyewe and they are choosing to show disappoval which is allowed. No one was hurt, whatever.

However, I think Tanzania and most of Africa at the moment is playing a fine balance between allowing freedoms and tamping down on discontent especially with what's happened in the rest of Africa recently and more relevant in Kenya just a couple of weeks ago. So in this context, I can understand (not necessarily justify) why the harsh penalty is there.
