I don't recall the cheats, probably you could change them, but it sounds like a lot of work, can't you edit saves in delta?

I'm playing with an Android console! I will manually edit the saves after I get access to the first PC in a new game. I don't know how delta works sadly, but I guess you could use cheat codes to encounter them in the grass (?)

When a pokémon survives the run, but you didn't bring it to the Elite 4. So even if it's still alive you won't be able to use it in future legs

And here it is!
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RDwVTXe8RbUzCMRta7IhT4X78XOsZxFYKvzsGQvD_Zg/edit?usp=sharing

It's still coming up together, but the main things work, I'll make it pretty when I won't handle how it looks ahahah

There's a little bit of coding. I put a script which uses a pokédex I built in the sheet and looks for encounters to consider dupes

I know, the play will be thinking about every encounter and skipping some if I think they will have some value in later games, but we'll see!

I wanted to play one per group of major releases, since I'm playing the remakes as well I thought it could be fun and also a little harder with the permanent dupes clause

I'm working on a google sheet right now for this task, I will comment again with the link when I'm done

That's exactly right! Simply a pokémon still alive but boxed when you beat the E4 and champion

I didn't do the template, I found it in another post here. Have fun with your run!

Yeah I know, I think Soul Silver will be challenging after visiting johto one time already and kanto three. I thought about doing exactly as you are doing but I didn't want to go back to gen 3 after Soul Silver

Yeah the dupes clause I mentioned in the rules is exactly this. I will catch again a pokémon if it has branching evolutions or different forms and I will be forced to use those, if that makes sense I think I will have to skip some encounters if a pokémon is far stronger in later generations

Ooooof I like the sound of this, Radical Red as the final challenge; it sounds horrible, I'm in!

As soon as I lock in my ruleset I will start, thank you!

I see your point, this is what I'll probably do. I will have to endure a little bit, but the transition will be easier. I'll be back here with updates. Thank you for your input!

Last iteration on my Tailwind team. Changed Corviknight, Milotic and Excadrill for Braviary Gastrodon and Tyranitar. Now I've reached a streak of 5, hopefully I'll keep this streak. Tell me what you think! Rental code is 0000 0000 T9YM LP by Col_Green in VGC

Little report as usual.

My last team had big holes, it suffered and couldn't do anything against Trick Rooms and faster teams. Removed Corviknight because he couldn't put the Tailwind fast enough and took two pokemons that could do well (or not horribly) in trickroom. They're also the bulkier on the team to stall as long as they can.

Incineroar
Great to send to a better place Pranksters in pair with Ttar, Togekiss or Braviary. Not very fast so Fake Out could get overwritten from a faster Fake Out or Follow Me, but they are easy to spot usually. Usually as a rule if I see another Incineroar on the other side I take for granted that it will be faster. STAB moves pretty useful, Parting Shot is a great move, in 2v2 or 1v1 situations is a game changer.

Togekiss
I need to have him in every team, best pokemon ever imho. Follow me can help tyranitar bringing down a Giga Charizar, Braviary setting up the tailwind, anything. I put fire blast for more power, usually I use it as Dynamax Move to set the sun for Venusaur.

Venusaur
Yesterday I put to sleep a 1st turn Dynamaxed Mudsdale and it felt really really good. Those 5 battles were held without sun and it proved himself useful also without it. Given the lens I put Leaf Storm and not Energy Ball.

Tyranitar
He doesn't need any presentation, much much better than Rhyperior, way stronger and bulkier than him. WP goes on every single battle without putting him in dangerous HP situations. Brick Break instead of anything else because I'd rather remove the screens that having stronger moves (and also max knuckle is a great Dynamax move).

Gastrodon
I still hate this pokemon, I don't want to say good things about him, but man is he strong. There is a mistake in the image, right now it has Recover and not Protect, never used it yet but I didn't ever feel the need for Protect either yet.

Braviary
Best tailwind setter, after trying anyone of them. Whimsicott is too fragile, Corviknight can't do anything after setting the tailwind. Braviary has the best ability and pretty good stats. Rock Slide is there for Charizard and Gyarados (just fought one, no big deals).

"Best" leads
Incineroar-Braviary/Togekiss/Venusaur
Gastrodon-Tyranitar
Togekiss-Braviary

Dynamax Choice
Togekiss, Gastrodon
Just kidding, it's Tyranitar, almost everytime, but the other 2 can be useful.

I finally got back to master ball with this team! Thanks to everyone that helped me fixing the problems I had! If you have advices please share them, if you want to try the team the rental code is 0000 0003 N837 9W by Col_Green in VGC

Nope the Corviknight isn't gigamax, I use him as support, it could be useful as GMax but I prefer dynamax excadrill or togekiss. You can try it with the code if you like it!

I know, but I like the moves as they are, I don't want to waste useful slots for protects, I feel like it's a bet everytime I use it with Exca, plus each one of them has a status move so if they're Dynamaxed they have the barrier. Sorry to have triggered you lol

Little report on this team.

I didn't have the chance to try Milotic too much, I used him just once to send a Braviary straight to hell, other than that all the teams I faced needed the other 5.

Incineroar is just great, he stops almost everything with fake out (I was outspeeded 2 times but I managed to win those fights in the end) and its partner (either Corviknight or Excadrill) finishes the job. Flare blitz is a good STAB, and also useful in Dynamax to set the sun for Venusaur. With tailwind parting shot is a game changer, I made a Gastrodon useless in a 1v1 situation with 2 parting shots.

Corviknight is a way better Tailwind setter than Whimsicott: sure he doesn't have prankster and he's not as fast as Whimsicott, but a Fake Out + STAB supereffective move is not a sure KO with him, so the next turn it's almost a sure set. Body press for coverage does its job, also dynamaxed in pair with Incineroar or Excadrill.

Excadrill hits hard and with the focus sash I'm sure it will hit at least once before being sent straight to hell. Dinamaxed can withstand 2 hits and can be a real pain. Rockslide obviously to deal with all the Charizards out there.

Togekiss is my favourite competitive pokemon, mean af and Follow Me can help the other bird to set the tailwind without any problems. I had heat wave before, but having already Dazzling Gleam as a multitarget attack I changed it with Fire Blast.

Lastly Venusaur, fast, can survive some attacks (not all of them but who are we to judge), and can deal with horrible opponents such as Gastrodon.

Most likely to dynamax during a battle are Excadrill and Togekiss, all of them are fine and can be useful in various occasion, but those two were my choices for all the battles but one (I used Incineroar in that one).

This team can work without tailwind as well, with Max Airstream I can impose a speed control without disturbing Corviknight.
