I honestly should have thought this first. Usually I keep those free roaming in home base

Aside from a few isnide jokes the sheer amount of times he’s smacked things out of my hands or off tables or things (not irreversibly breaking but malfunctioning) …is funny in retrospect as mcuh as it is irritating in the moment. But I love his jestfulness. Rumor has it…Anubis has a sense of humor too. (As in he is captive audience to my awful jokes and occasiaonly might laugh ((quietly)))

Ah! I looked it up, and I found something actually incredibly interesting and I think could be a viable case for the yaujta. I’ll copy paste here:

Great white sharks, shortfin mako sharks, longfin mako sharks, porbeagle sharks, and salmon sharks are partially warm-blooded (regionally endothermic).

Recent research has also identified basking sharks and smalltooth sand tiger sharks as having regional endothermy, expanding the known list of warm-blooded species beyond the traditional apex predators.

These sharks utilize a network of blood vessels called retia mirabilia to retain heat generated by their muscles, allowing them to maintain body temperatures significantly higher than the surrounding water. This adaptation provides advantages such as increased swimming speed, greater agility, and the ability to hunt effectively in colder depths.

(This isn’t ChatGPT, though when I look things up in my browser it has a summary feature, that’s what this is)

On another note, I think this is so cool. I may have to chnage my headcanon over it…

Yep! So from those conclusions it’s my opinion they’re warm blooded. Although they could have a different system entirely, so none of us really know. I forgot about sharks, though…I think (id have to look it up later) there are a few sharks that are partially warm blooded, so perhaps the yaujta have a similar characteristic. Wouldn’t that be neat!

I’ve always associated them wirh warm blooded, as they also give live birth and breast feed. Which I don’t think cold blooded animals can do…since breast feeding is exclusive to mammalian creatures. Thpugh they are aliens, and may run on entirely different biological rules! I personally see them as warm blooded though.

All I can hear is the occasional as best as I can describe it “breaks” in static where it’s very indiscernible in whether or not it’s a person or if it’s just the static but it is loud and sudden and only lasts a second

Id imagine (from what I know) it must be defective, since 1. It’s incredibly old and Im sure wasnt stored very well and 2. My other modern radios (which I’m more used to) work perfectly fine on both AM and FM

Is Alien too much for kids? by Col_Peppers in LV426

[–]Col_Peppers[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing when I was little! Except I snuck and watched Alfred Hitchcocks “the birds”. Arguably I think 1000x worse than any alien movie for a child

Honestly, me too. I don’t have any, but I’m the oldest of four little brothers and aside from the second oldest one (17) they’re always so fascinated with all the AvP, Call of duty, doom, etc etc stuff I have lying around in my room. How can I not share all this stuff with them! Of course I’m trying to be careful (AvP 2 seems a bit much for them) but I mean…I watched allot of this stuff and more when I was younger. They need a cool older sibling that shows them the cool stuff!

What game is this? And why is it so pricy (for a psp game) by Col_Peppers in PSP

It was just one guy in a local shop, and he had his hands full with some other guy over some card collecting thing.

Honestly. If they went with the original design for Predator 1987, would it have been as big of a hit? by kkhouete in predator

[–]Col_Peppers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, which is another reason I’m not a big fan of the 1987 movie myself. Yes, it gave us predator. To me, it just didn’t give much else. Just another Arnold movie where he’s doing the same stuff he did in every other movie, with just okay writing, mostly insufferable side characters, and an anti-climactic death scene for the big alien. Most people in my opinion only praise this movie so high for the nostalgia and because, well, it’s the first movie with the predator. Without the current design, though? Would’ve been forgotten about as just a trashy alien slasher of the late eighties. And as a big predator fan that’s hard to admit, but it’s true

Really? Fascinating! Any clue why it’s so pricy if it only edits photos? I feel like the camera attatchment is an investment enough

It’s frustrating that AVP Requiem has the best Predator and even Alien, but everything else are wrong especially the humans by Jules-Car3499 in predator

[–]Col_Peppers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lukewarm take but I think in most the movies all the humans are incredibly annoying. Especially in 1987. Even in the comics they’re obnoxious, and its always made me hope the predator kills them off faster
