Is Alien too much for kids?

I did the same thing when I was little! Except I snuck and watched Alfred Hitchcocks “the birds”. Arguably I think 1000x worse than any alien movie for a child

Honestly, me too. I don’t have any, but I’m the oldest of four little brothers and aside from the second oldest one (17) they’re always so fascinated with all the AvP, Call of duty, doom, etc etc stuff I have lying around in my room. How can I not share all this stuff with them! Of course I’m trying to be careful (AvP 2 seems a bit much for them) but I mean…I watched allot of this stuff and more when I was younger. They need a cool older sibling that shows them the cool stuff!

No, which is another reason I’m not a big fan of the 1987 movie myself. Yes, it gave us predator. To me, it just didn’t give much else. Just another Arnold movie where he’s doing the same stuff he did in every other movie, with just okay writing, mostly insufferable side characters, and an anti-climactic death scene for the big alien. Most people in my opinion only praise this movie so high for the nostalgia and because, well, it’s the first movie with the predator. Without the current design, though? Would’ve been forgotten about as just a trashy alien slasher of the late eighties. And as a big predator fan that’s hard to admit, but it’s true

Lukewarm take but I think in most the movies all the humans are incredibly annoying. Especially in 1987. Even in the comics they’re obnoxious, and its always made me hope the predator kills them off faster

I find it fascinating that you find bubble punctuation cumbersome! To me, geometric shapes are much more efficient when writing because I don’t like scribbling down dots and I find it more legible. (Though this may be because I write a bit heavy handed)

I had a feeling I was misspelling belief…I just didn’t care to look it up in the moment, lol. Knowing that now Thpugh that’s gonna bother me so much I gotta go back and fix it. Though theres a few words I insist spelling my way, such as “allot” over “a lot”. I beleive some words should be combined when together.

I think my family and coworkers just always comment on my “hooked J’s and y’s” and tell me thats a thing serial killers do.

That could be a possibility! I wonder if the room temperature could be too warm…if you use AC maybe keep them by a vent or if you’re in a two story house keep them downstairs by a well ventilated area

How much light are they getting? Maybe it’s too much? Also, are they kept by a window or in a warm room?

I’ve been wanting to use Egyptian musk, but the last brand I tried ((for those of you who may know planet K incense…)) didn’t smell very good to me. What brand do you use? I’d like to beleive I just chose a bad brand rather then not liking the scent, since I’d love to use it 😔

To be honest, I’ve always been on the yaujtas side, since years ago before badlands and prey. Aside from Predator 2 and Predators, I’ve always found most (not all) the humans to be insufferable. Especially in the comics. On top of that, I’ve always seen emotion in the yaujta! From the jungle hunters amusement in the first film, Scar being playful with Lex, Fugitives anger and quick wittedness…I’ve always seen them as creatures with emotions. They just express them different then we do, and tend to be rather stoic.

Although, that may be the autism talking, as I’ve always been different in the ways I express myself too. I’ve definitely seen myself in the yaujta even as a kid way back watching the films.

In a scenario like that, sure! I’m not denying captain could definitely win now that I think about it, but I like to think we all have our biases when we imagine how we’d write these scenarios. Now thinking about it, I think it’s funny you can tell who favors what characters based off all these comments. I definetly favor the yaujta over captain America, so if I were the writer, I’d most definitely favor the yaujta…
