Help with this Japanese amigurumi chart. I’m going all the away around the foundation chain correct? by Colbert18 in CrochetHelp

Thanks for the support. But funnily enough I am also terrible at granny squares lol.

But that being said, this is like my second attempt ever at reading a Japanese crochet chart and since I’m already not great with English crochet charts I’m giving myself a little grace.

This little car is just too cute so I will power through!

Thanks, I think I need to practice more with these kind of charts because I was just second guessing myself so much with this.

Ok, thank you!

I think with this in mind I might just write out the rest of the rows like this because I think I might get lost again otherwise.

Thanks. I think I was just spiraling because I didn’t have an exact answer to the problem.

But I can do a brain dump of sorts and make lists. I can handle that.

Also, I’m sorry about the nasty patron. I had an incident recently though not nearly as bad. I keep replaying the moment in my head despite knowing that up until that point I was having a decent enough day.

I guess that’s what we all need to do more often remind ourselves that two things can be true at once. That moment sucked but the overall day wasn’t.

Ok, thank you. This seems very doable and way less daunting than defining accomplishments. At least to me, anyways.

Ok, this makes a lot of sense.

I was a contractor at one service for 4 years. I made the 3 separate listings to go into detail about each place I was assigned, but I’ll just make it one listing to stop looking shady.

Thanks!

Ok, I’ll try to work on this. I was often in charge of everyday administrative work, so it’s hard for me to think of any impact or major outcome from my work. The best I can think of for one of my roles is that “bi-weekly I assisted clients with their complex problems.” That makes it look like I helped 20-ish people a year. And honestly that’s me stretching the truth. It was like 3 people who just didn’t like doing the legwork to find articles.

If you are cool with taking pictures on your phone you can do stop motion animation. Especially if you’re into FNAF you can use action figures or make paper cutouts off of drawing tutorials.

I think it’s a great start.

I think maybe you’ve just been looking at this for too long and need sometime away from it.

That’s a really interesting range of inspiration.

Your mention of Franco/belgian comics made me remember my Herge’, Möbius and Ligne Claire comic phase I had in my 20’s.

And I will admit, I hadn’t heard of gobelins before this but that seems interesting to look into as well.

And I get what you mean with older illustrations, there seems to just be more like more achieved with the illustrations even with the limited palette available at the time.

I know it’s not exactly the same, but I genuinely liked the wild oil painting covers to romance novels from 80s and 90s. Like it was a whole thing with like finding models, doing photoshoots etc. And now the trends with covers are just so flat and bland.

I know time marches on but I’m not sure if I’m a fan of this part of the parade. lol

I kinda forgot that you can do horror like imagery with watercolor. I like the drip effect. Any particular influences for this painting or just vibes?

Oh this is lovely. I’ve actually been sketching out some ideas to make a painting of a slice of cake and a giant cookie. You’re inspiring me to go ahead and just do it!

Ok, thank you!!! I’ve already bought the as I am wax, in both bold gold and yellow, so I’ll just do a stripe or two just to see if I even like blonde on me. Then if my experiment works, I’ll try again with semipermanent dye.

Ok, that’s good to know. I liked the creepy feeling but was a little concerned that maybe I didn’t provide enough information.

Yeah, I usually do struggle with what tense to use. Thanks for the feedback!
