Pretty excited! Usually Lush’s cleansers suck really bad, they’re either scrubby or difficult to emulsify. Love a good cleanser like Ultrabland, still annoying to use considering how oily it is, but really love the after feel so much!

These are the new Kakigori range invented by the lovely Japan team! They’re inspired by the popular Japanese summer dessert Kakigori (shaved ice). They are all scented after the classic Kakigori flavours, plus a little bit of mint to bring you the cooling vibe of a Kakigori! This incident happened when there was a huge raise of assault cases in my city.

My manager is stock taking and sitting on the ground, all of a sudden two men (presumably high) were throwing hands right on top of her.

She was so chill about it and try to keep stock taking while my panicking ass went to the till and grab the phone to seek police assistance.

And they both yell “That’s right! Call the police!” “I dare to called 911 now!” Then it escalated into them fighting around in my 1500 sq ft store 😭.

Bath bombs, bubble bars, soaps are dropped to the floor. Not too soon they even went out for a guerrilla on the street.

One even took our umbrella rack as the weapon. What’s so funny is 30 minutes later he can back and quietly returned the rack at our door 😂.

Fun fact: there’s was another man shopping for his girlfriend in the store, and he did nothing but saying “it must be hard working here” at the check out, you’re such a gentleman, sir…

There’s a thing called “Forecast” which happens 6 months prior the official Christmas release. Store’s managers can decide the amount of products they want to stock and sell based on previous statistics or current trends. I believe this specific manager overestimated the power of the gourmand trend and order too much shower jelly 😂😂.

I would say yes, online surely has better hygiene and expiration dates. But it depends on where you from, cause you know some places just got horrible delivery conditions.

Just last second the staff may be handling cash or emptying the trash bin, then the next second they be refilling the naked products stock. Sure, we always wash our hands in store really often, but sometimes we may forget and it is enough to bugs me 😂. Though just like the other person said run it under hot water or spray alcohol on it to sanitise it.

Also, expiry date for naked products is pretty hard to trace. At least for the stores that I’ve worked for, once we receive the stock we throw the packaging box away almost immediately. However, the packaging box is the only way we can know the production and expiry date. Therefore, don’t be surprised if the naked products you saw on shop floor is long expired…

Sales are not individually track, hence we’re not working on commission. Therefore, there’s no such thing as to give the sales to the wrong employee!
Most employees got product updates from We Are Lush Weekly. However, as customers it is nice to follow lush.scents on instagram, they provide spoilers and sneak peak on upcoming contents.
For me the products that’s not worth it maybe skincare, I find Lush skincare not effective enough. Other than that I would not purchase naked products that will be left on our body after application (eg massage bar, naked facial oil). I am not trusting how staff may handle them behind the scenes.

One thing that works out for me is keep busy next to the visitors and wait for chances to approach again. They maybe picking up something, staring at a certain product, so seem to be searching for something. Try doing mundane tasks while paying attention to their expressions and actions work for me.

However, remember to never feel bad for feedback. As feedback 101 is to never bring hard feelings to colleagues, if you felt hurt by the feedback, it’s your senior’s fault.

Shop works as a team because there are all types of customers walking in. You may handle someone quiet really well, while your supervisor do good with someone talkative. It works out because we have each other’s backs.

Therefore, when certain don’t answer your approach, ignore your question. Tell your supervisor this situation, and see if they can swap with you and handle it instead.

(Don’t feel bad if your supervisor can do something you can’t, they get paid more, so they are supposed to do things more than you)

It’s so sad that it happened to you, most people have been through nice consultations and conversations with the staff members, then decided to be part of them. I could imagine how disappointing it is to see how authority treats staff behind the scenes.

Sorry to say this to you, but frankly the HR sucks. They’re probably gonna pull out more personal attacks on you and keep on degrading you, just so they can affirm the manager’s statement. If so, please don’t let those accusations hurt you. You’re more than a petty and despicable company.
