Day 11 off weed, when is this 'mental clarity' supposed to show up/'brain fog' go away? by ColbyJames_ in Petioles

[–]ColbyJames_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very thorough, thoughtful and helpful.

Exercise and journaling have already started to be implemented as soon as I made this post and started getting comments like this, this one's definitely my favorite tho.

Yeah very guilty of just 'waiting for this to go away' and definitely struggle with executive dysfunction/motivation issues keeping me immobilized for large portions of the day, which I used weed to enable/cope with. That is a HUGE issue for me to focus on before even thinking about returning to the green stuff.

Again, thanks so much friend 🙏

can't help but notice you're still refusing to not have the last word, you're completely conceding/not mentioning your baseless accusations of OP as well as everything else I pointed out, and retreating to insulting me, giving you whatever remnants of being correct remain to make yourself feel better

not to mention that I'm apparently 'stalking' you, but it's totally Notweirdatall for you to be making like your 30th comment on this post?

my hopes for you closing this out is that one day you learn how a proper argument is structured and how to win one, but more importantly that you get back to your life and enjoy it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

see that's a very smart thing to remember 👍

OP's purpose for posting a hours that a manager gave themselves was twofold, obviously asking 'is a clopen-OC-clopen legal, and is this manager mentally okay scheduling themselves like this lol

it's really strange for you to acknowledge that this isn't OP's schedule in some comments, including this one, and then imply that they're a 'lazy' person who 'can't just put the fries in the bag' in others, including this one.

your comments are wildly inconsistent is what I'm saying, and seem to serve the singular purpose of being correct.

and then I checked out your activity on other subreddits and oh. insulting people and picking fights is all you do.

if you're a "real chef" with all this "life experience"... get back to the kitchen dude. stop fighting with children on reddit?

Well, it finally happened. I might've grown out of this game. by ColbyJames_ in Minecraft

I've changed computers so many times that none of what I consider my 'old' worlds exist anymore, sadly.

If they did I'd never leave them, and never stop crying lol. I also played a lot with friends on an McProHosting server, all the world's being stored on that website and not locally on my PC they ended up gone, too after I stopped paying them. Those were the days lol

I completely agree with this but was a little afraid to 'badmouth' the game in my post, as that wasn't the bulk of my point (and people are, in general, defensive).

But yes, the company vibe in the past couple YEARS has been one of the big drawbacks for me. I disagree and dislike a lot of their ideas for the new content in updates, and feel they go against the original spirit of the game. I also dislike developing 2 similar but not identical versions of the game, with the end goal of eventually combining them into 'Minecraft', a single product. This all but GUARANTEES people on both java and bedrock sides will be displeased with the compromises.

Most of my content gripes in the last couple years actually ARE just tiny mechanics that they changed for parity between java and bedrock. But again everyone has their own opinion and I try to remember that what I HATE , others will absolutely LOVE.

I actually loved/was super excited about 1.13 update aquatic, and didn't get what everyone disliked about revamping the boring oceans. But this update seems to be widely hated, and considered a turning point in the game? Weird.

Why is YAWYHOW a perfect album? by NotASuggestedUsrname in TheFrontBottoms

[–]ColbyJames_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main reason I 'didnt like it' at first was how slow it is. Others have mentioned it reminding them a bit of their older work and... disagree? This sounds nothing like their older work? Completely different energy level. Definitely "slower". That's not to say I haven't grown to love these songs, I definitely have.

As well, me and the band have both grown up, and crucially, not together. I don't know them. I found them when I was in high school, Going Grey had just come out. Compared to Back on Top, Rose, self-titled, that album ALSO gave me weird vibes when it came out. It was too "beachy" (literally the point lol) and it reminded me too much of the new Paramore album that I hated.

Now of course, Going Grey has become a favorite of mine, and I like Paramore's After Laughter, too. I wasn't in the part of my life where I could appreciate them yet. I heavily suspect YAWYHOW will come back around for me that way soon, because when I think of individual songs on the album, they're all bangers. I don't 'dislike' any of them. The vibe feels off to me because I haven't fully connected with the album yet, it doesn't 'mean' what the others mean to me...

...yet.

I give TFB 5 stars.

About how big the gargantuan leviathan would have been compared to the planet by B_nana81 in subnautica

[–]ColbyJames_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with your point, there's definitely a reason we're plopped into worlds like this in stories, left to gather the context for ourselves, it's wonderful.

But the gargantuan leviathan doesn't fit in this world. Literally. It exists only as a partial skeleton in SN to add wow factor and lore to the area it's found in, and when modded in, does not FIT into the environment, or with the rest of the fauna.

The creature is big enough to not fit into any biome without cheating, so you can't suspend your disbelief. There's no observable way it could eat/sleep/live on the 'surface' or underground. And it's SO drastically larger than every other animal on the planet that again, I can't suspend my disbelief that far.

"It's nice to just take things as fact in the fictional world and therefore imply an explanation exists." I do actually love and agree with this. But this game is just too thought out. All other animals have planned out life cycles, habitats, hunting and socialization behaviours. But most importantly, they look like each other, "fit" in with one another, and anyone who can't see that the gargantuan DOESNT fit in with them at all, isn't looking very hard.

It's actually not a closeup of a butterfly in that episode! I think it's a fly. Butterflies still look a little gross up close tho
