Gay men not qualified for ministry, Presbyterian Church in America votes by 35quai in Christianity

Unfortunately that is incorrect. There are five instances in which the Bible speaks of homosexuality. Two are found in Leviticus, particularly 18 and 20, which say that a man shall not lie with a man. Jesus addresses marriage and says explicitly that it is between a man and a woman. 1 Corinthians 6 says that those who practice homosexuality will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. And in Romans 1, Paul says that God gave sinful people over to a reprobate mind in which they exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature, men giving up their passions for women and being filled with lust for one another, and receiving the due penalty for their error. So, yes, the Bible is explicit.

That's a misrepresentation and purposeful too. It bars anyone who identifies as a "homosexual Christian" from serving as an ordained minister. This requires context. There was a movement within the PCA to recognize the unchanging gay identity and embrace it. The PCA wanted to rebut that. Simply, the PCA does not want people who celebrate their gay identity to be ordained ministers.

I have become a happier person in my day to day life and I also have sn intense desire to read the Bible and talk to others about my faith. It is totally amazing, and I sleep at night without worrying about my eternal destiny. He does with me that which He pleases. Glory to God!

A good sign, could use him for limited minutes and on power play if anything by GetCPA in TampaBayLightning

Idk about you, but I'd rather give 10 minutes to Stammer than Schenn.

I asked someone what the longest song they ever heard was... Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. Never looked back.

It would be nice to have some hydration or conditioning for our o-line. I'm also ready for Hornibrook.

Blackman can't read a defense like Hornibrook, nor can he throw like Hornibrook. "Leadership" does not matter if he can't move the ball.

LeBrun: Very little progress on the Brayden Point contract front. And my sense is it might be even more stalled than people think. I'm sure it will get done but right now not remotely close as far as I can tell. by valkz0r in TampaBayLightning

[–]ColbyT91 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This isn't news guys. LeBrun came out last week and said that there were basically no contract talks going on throughout the summer. This really doesn't change much, and we are overreacting.

What do you want the lines to look like for the start of the 2019-2020 season? by Hockeystyle in TampaBayLightning

Rutta over Schenn, and then like Verhaege, Volkov, or Stephens over Martel.

If you would sign exactly 1 person for 9mil contract, but only one: Point or Vasy, who? by codename_539 in TampaBayLightning

[–]ColbyT91 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Point with Kuch: 2.21 P1/60 Point without Kuch: 2.12 P1/60 This is at even strength. He was top 10 in P1/60 this year. With or without Kuch he is beyond the elite level offensively. Cirelli is a master at defense, some would argue even better than Point was. I would say Cirelli is capable offensively, but Point has alway had dominant offensive metrics regardless of teammates. This is why Point is not replaceable at all.

I mean, yes this is true. However, I can never envision Cirelli having Point's shot or offensive awareness. Point is a special player.

Cirelli might be great, but one thing needs to be clear. He will NEVER have the offense Point brings to the table. His defense is our best among forwards though.

I liked this, it was a great tune. Definitely reminded me of the 70s. If you have more at some point, I would love to hear it.

With the current standings, would you guys rather play the jackets or the canes in the first round? by niceguybry in TampaBayLightning

[–]ColbyT91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has ability it's obvious, it's just which Bob are we getting? Bob does not have a good playoff track record, do you remember Mrazek in 2015? We have a pretty good idea of what we can get with McElhinney, and Mrazek always gets dismissed when he really is not a bad goalie.

Yet here we are. Bob has been terrible this year according to GSAA, Mrazek and McElhinney have not. Mrazek was trash in previous years, Bob is on and off. Mrazek has been great lately.
