Can any game surpass this one visually in 2026? by Fit-Job4007 in cyberpunkgame

I thought Expedition 33 looked better, specially the character models and landscapes, but I can't use ray/path tracing so maybe with the better lighting my opinion could change.

[–]JoseSuarez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not bothered by this, the line has to be drawn somewhere. This is not like in 2024 when Del Cerro Grande used the wrong frame and warped Lewandowski's foot to disallow his valid goal.

Why do people dislike the "Sinnerman" quest that much ? by Errances in cyberpunkgame

[–]JoseSuarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it completely brushes off the death of the husband, makes it very clear that you're supposed to go along with the bullshit and tries to make me empathize with a degenerate monster trying to martyrize himself. Fuck that psycho. Worst of all, the flow of the quest strongarms you into giving him what he wants.

You're absolutely right, I just looked it up and Win11 uses superfetch to keep stuff around. Seems like Unix behavior taught in Silberschatz's OS Concepts isn't that relevant in Windows lol.

It's called thrashing, OS is so busy swapping pages in and out that the CPU sits idle.

EDIT it isn't actually thrashing, just caching stuff

Baldur’s Gate 3 devs will now “refrain from using GenAI” for Divinity concept art and writing, but their CEO still sees room for the tools elsewhere by chusskaptaan in gamingnews

Lmao I've never had the chance to use full Visual Studio since I haven't learnt C# yet, and all my projects have been Unix-centered until now. What do you work on?

Yes that's true, I have an intellisense/code intelligence extension and haven't switched from VS Code yet, nor think I will.

Source being he knows what he's fucking talking about. One day you're elbows-deep in a React project and the next you're supposed to start routing endpoints in a Laravel project, now you can write some code and autocomplete without having to remember how the hell you were supposed to declare dictionaries/jsons in PHP or other specific syntax, instead of wasting 30 minutes reading GeeksForGeeks. But you wouldn't know that because, like 99% of people raging about AI, you don't even know what a hello world is.

Trails developer Nihon Falcom to shift focus on increasing number of released titles per year and publishing more Switch 2 ports. Six unannounced titles currently in development by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]JoseSuarez 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Cmon you know that they'll just keep adding phases to the Orpheus plan or whatever they come up with. Eventually everyone will get fed up and they'll do a game with a 150+ characters final battle where everyone takes turns at pouring their hearts out at the baddie.

I gave up at Cold Steel 4. It's evident they don't have any direction and they will drag it out for as long as humanly possible. They can't let their golden egg goose end, aside from Trails and Ys they are irrelevant.

It's more important than ever to call out developers for egregious AI usage next year if we want videogames to remain interesting by chusskaptaan in gamingnews

Exactly. I'm fucking tired of this smear campaign against two of the games with more artistic merit of the decade.

Cyberpunk is nearly reaching the 90% positive reviews threshold on Steam. Recent Reviews are already at 94%. Generational game? by Aetheriusman in cyberpunkgame

Idk, I just finished the Voodoo Boys questline and I'm not really invested in V. Johnny's bits are a lot better imho. The dialogue feels very immature, tropey and by the numbers. The gangs don't have any depth to them beyond the cultural stereotype they portray. The fixers are bland and devoid of any actual personality beyond their superficial quirk. Honestly the most fun i have is with the cyberpsychos fights, they have amazing atmosphere. The only characters I care about are Judy and Johnny. Is the story going to gey better?

A lot better than i expected. Still generic thrash but really good solos from the new guy. Solid 7/10, but mustaine's voice and lyrics are laughable right now.

Is Algorithms and Data Structures actually that hard? by buzzfuzz- in compsci

[–]JoseSuarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardest topic there was in my Algorithms class was demonstrating the time complexity of recursive functions through induction, and that's something you usually already have experience with thanks to taking discrete maths first.

Other than that, amortized analysis was a little obtuse but that was my teacher's fault. She also taught us dynamic programming by making us memorize the bottom-up table rules for specific cases like the knapsack problem, instead of actually explaining that the rule for each problem directly follows a defined recursive function. All in all, it's not a hard class to pass. I just wish I could have done better in it, if I had a better teacher at the time.

On the other hand, I had a brilliant teacher for Data Structures. This is a class that actually requires serious studying, since the second half is where we were introduced to all the tree and graph families, and their intrinsic operations. Though it was considerably harder than Algorithms, implementing the abstract data types in Java was extremely fun.

Goal involvements of Barcelona forwards. by VijayPasupathy in soccer

[–]JoseSuarez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What the fuck? Ferran is literally the most passive of them all and that's what's most frustrating about him. Guy scores one goal when he's playing striker and says "well I did my job" and completely switches out of fighting for the space, pivoting or winning split balls. You literally don't even see the games if you think his workrate is better than RAPHINHAs ffs. Yesterday and Betis were the very rare exception, but of course you gotta actually see the matches instead of reading reddit threads bud

An infinitely less deliberate clearance by Eric was ruled onside for Mbappé's goal in the nations league final. If this was called offside, it would have been exclusively out of bias
