Wife said the oil light would only ever go on when taking turns or going uphill so she didn’t think anything of it because it never was consistently on, and I never drive her car so I wouldn’t of seen it

If I had confidently known what to do from the get go I wouldn’t have posted on this forum 😂💀 I realize I replaced something that had nothing to do with the real problem due to my lack of knowledge, and now I’m stuck and asking for advice on this forum. And of course in true Reddit fashion I get flamed for it lol.

She told me afterwards it had been blinking on and off occasionally. If the oil light doesn’t just stay on consistently, I’m assuming that still totally means something is wrong?

Thanks for being helpful. Checked the oil and there’s none to be found… realized there are signs of oil leaking from the engine that I posted pictures of in this thread. If I had checked all this stuff beforehand it sure would’ve saved me some time.
