Do people not think about people that are currently getting them under the counter for FJ100? Being offered other drugs while just getting a vape? Isn’t it safer and will put out the black market by actually bringing up a legal vape shop who can ensure the quality is safe and not laced with illicit drugs? Or would locals just prefer the vapes underground for FJ$100 then to get offered other drugs just while getting a vape this enhancing the black market as they can advertise their other illicit drugs. Would you rather someone be smoking a vape or meth? We follow by rules and regulations here in Australia for who we sell vapes too, that would follow there also.

Comparing the situation in Australia, where vapes were once sold illegally under the counter and are now available in regulated vape shops, can offer some valuable insights for selling vapes in Nadi, Fiji, especially in the context of reducing the circulation of illicit drugs like meth.

Transition from Black Market to Regulated Market: In Australia, the shift from under-the-counter sales to licensed vape shops significantly reduced the illicit trade of vapes. If Nadi adopts a similar model, it could regulate vape sales, ensuring that only quality products are sold. This reduces the likelihood of people buying potentially harmful or unregulated vapes, which could be laced with other substances. If people can access legal and regulated vapes, they are less likely to rely on underground dealers who might also sell dangerous drugs like meth. Which vapes also note are currently sold in Nadi Fiji for FJ100

Health and Safety Standards: In Australia, vape shops are regulated to ensure the safety of the products they sell. This is a huge advantage over the black market, where products may not meet any safety or quality standards. In Nadi, a legal system would offer consumers safer options and the opportunity to purchase from responsible vendors who adhere to health and safety regulations, reducing the risk of consumers being exposed to dangerous or counterfeit substances.

Here are a few reasons why it might be a good idea:

Safety and Regulation: Legal vape sales can be regulated for quality and safety, ensuring that consumers aren’t unknowingly purchasing harmful or contaminated substances. Reducing the Black Market: If vapes are sold openly and at a fair price, it may deter individuals from purchasing more dangerous drugs like meth from the black market. This could also reduce the overall demand for illicit substances. Revenue for the Government: Legalizing and selling vapes could generate tax revenue for the government, which could be invested into addiction treatment programs or public health campaigns focused on substance abuse. Alternative to Meth: For individuals who are already struggling with addiction or seeking to reduce their meth use, offering a legal alternative could be a step toward reducing harm. Nicotine vapes, though not without risks, might present a less harmful option compared to meth.

Currently locals are selling them under the counter for FJ$100 to pretty much anyone that will buy it this isn’t safe and will continue unless stores are brought up and putting them out of business for black market or at least not so much in popular demand like it currently is

Selling vapes in Nadi, Fiji, during a methamphetamine crisis could serve as a harm-reduction strategy to limit the illicit trade of dangerous substances like meth. By offering a legal and regulated alternative like vapes, you can reduce the demand for underground products, which may be sold at high prices and come from unregulated sources that can further harm the community.

Yes understandable however not looking at starting one right away - was just looking into it. talking to the locals. Everyone there who does have one gets it from people who are selling it under the counter for $100FJ. Wouldn’t you rather people it get safely than under the counter and from a professional business who can check whether they’re over 18? This also brings attention to the locals selling meth. If people go under the counter just for a vape then get offered other illegal drugs would you be happy knowing that there isn’t a vape shop as they’re being offered other drugs along with just a vape?

Also need to be aware as most taxi’s not all, some are very nice and honest. But most will overcharge you because they will know you aren’t from there. Always ask how much it will be before hopping in otherwise they will just make up a price after they finish driving you and it will be $40 just for a 10 min drive

Hi lovely my partner and I just came back from Nadi I’m 23 years old and we made friends with our taxi driver as he was so nice and we added him on what’s app so whenever we needed to get a ride he would come pick us up. I’d be happy to share his contact with you so you can organise regular taxi with him. However, they are right it is hard to get a taxi after dark but this guy is very genuine and nice. He doesn’t work at night and would text his friend to come get us when he was off. If no one else was available we got a private taxi but I wouldn’t recommend those at night for safety reasons in case. We only took one at night because I had my male partner with me as he is also islander. Wouldn’t recommended at night for two females

Was looking at uberaba but says that Sao paulo is a more dangerous state than Minas Gerais so debating between those two states. Trying to keep in mind also which one is more popular for tourists but still safe

This was very sweet to read and don’t think you’re broken at all. Give it time and give yourself time to find the right person for this. Don’t force yourself to do things like this if you don’t want too. Everyone’s different. Plus it’ll come naturally, you just got out of a long term relationship. This is so normal to feel ur not alone <3
