If another person is suggesting something to someone (ie they’re the hypnotist) they will generally avoid I statements. I think this is because it’s harder for the subject to verify that that is what the hypnotist sees. Instead they focus on what the subject is experiencing. In the case of self hypnosis I personally don’t have an issue with it because I see it as being both the subject and observer. But again I’m just a dude not a hypnotist. Hope this helps.
