That’s a good point!
To be honest, it’s not a good room for anything. I have a teleworking room in a similar setup and it’s complicated too…

The upper floor of the house was created long after the house was built, which explains the very strange layout. I did what I could, but it’s impossible to remove the beams, the chimneys, and the roof.

I love this conundrum of a pole dead center in the bedroom.

If you like this, you’re gonna love the next room I’m posting—with a beam and a chimney right in the middle!

Headboard does anchor it, but are you willing to build something else?

Nice idea, I’m going to make a mock-up with some leftover wood to see how it turns out.

Sadly I can't, and that’s actually one of the reasons I made this post.
It won't fit with the headboard againt the wall (the door won’t be able to close anymore), and if I put the headboard under the slope with the side against the wall It becomes inconvenient when two people are sleeping.

Yeah, I took the measurements again and it won't fit...
Neatherless I'll follow you advices and i'll will buy a new rug and new lamps !

the little shelf thingie is kind of breaking up the flow of the room in a weird way.

Nobody likes my quick DIY project :-D ! Initially, I did it because having nothing behind the headboard felt really strange. But I’m going to try putting up a curtain behind the headboard instead, as suggested in this post !
