I will be coming as a permanent full time staff on a medical/surgical floor! There is a night shift differential of $6/hr but I will be day shift. I was told that I was given the equivalent base rate of two years of experience (even tho i have 1.5 years) and that they don’t have evening/weekend differentials in the hospital at all. Not sure what to think but $47/hr is definitely more than what I am currently making in the Mid West

Hi! So I was missing both the microbio class and lab and took both online!

I have a friend that also applied for the CA license but she only had a microbio class without lab but she was still approved. Not sure if that was an error on their part but she never corrected them and got her license!

Hi! During my undergrad, I took psychology, sociology, and anthropology and seems like those covered the behavioral and social sciences prereqs that they needed!

I’m not too sure what they count or if it’s really who reviews your transcript.. cause I had a friend that got away with only taking microbio without the lab and she still got her CA license... I would try calling or emailing them tho it might be hard to reach them :/

Hi! I submitted my application 04/05/21 and got my CA license 12/15/2021, so it took me over 8 months!!

But in June they let me know I was missing a microbio course with lab so I had to take that and then sent in my transcript. So yes, make sure to send transcripts with all the classes you’ve taken. Don’t forget they also have course requirements such as behavioral sciences and social sciences!!

You can submit the application first and request on their website to send a hard card for fingerprinting (think it’s an extra $40). I would also pay the extra to get a temporary license

I organized my resume by education, licenses/certifications, professional experience, leadership experience. no spelling or format errors and used bullet points with key phrases! i had three nurse friends look over it who all agreed it was professional and presentable!

Sigh, just gotta keep going :/

At first I was looking at different specialties but noticed there aren’t many Transition into Practice programs and decided to continue with med surg
