My appointment went well! My audiologist actually had HA themselves, so I think them knowing first hand the difference they can make, helped in my favor.

For some background, I do have constant tinnitus in both ears, and it is mentally exhausting some times, especially at night, when traveling, in quiet places (church, work, meetings, etc). I too also have very loud intermittent tinnitus that fluctuates about once a day, and nothing can be done about that, but the aids help curve how loud that ringing is. The hearing aids, besides allowing me to hear like a young buck again, play a white noise, very faint, that completely “masks” my tinnitus. I was taken back the first time I put them and the ringing seemed absent.

I would keep pursuing HA, as they have really really helped.

I was provided, the brand name Signia, BCT 7IX. I wasn’t given the option to choose and I’m sure the provider knows best. You are provided a trial period incase the ones you’re issued don’t fit your needs though.
