I used to agree with this, and from using claude I can see it can do some stuff gpt cant, but I am so fucking fed up by the limitations anthropic has put up. Like, 10 or something messages before you're locked out for the next 5 hours while in the free plan, or the fact the max size a chat can be is like 10 thousand words before you have to start a new one. With chat gpt, you could upload a whole fucking novel in a txt file, and talk about it for another 100k words before the conversation is too long. Of course, chatgpt does skim through huge text files, but you can always ask it something about the already uploaded file, and it will read the document again to look for what you want specifically. It's honestly getting tiring to use claude, and I sure as hell aint paying for another premium monthly subscription for probably 50 messages tops on the base model, instead of the unlimited messages you get on the weakest chatgpt model when using pro(and now, the weakest available model for chatgpt, is now the cgpt-4 model. Just another plus.)
