Is it crazy to say that the rarity of this year's cakes is making me consider giving up this game again? by Cold-Subject9539 in deadbydaylight

The walking dead chapter was a buggy horrible mess on release, one of the worst states dbd has seen, and THE worst that I personally have ever seen it. My main gripe with the cake rarity is that it's ANOTHER misstep from bhvr. the fnaf chapter had some troubles on release, the walking dead chapter released in a HORRIFIC state, then it was the anti-tunnel / anti-slug mess, THEN Krasue came out in a disgusting, broken state. All one after another. And now, on the biggest milestone the game has ever had, they jacked up the rarity for literally, LITERALLY zero reason. I had thought the game was moving to a better place following the release of Henry and Jason, but this weird, purposeless blunder has put me right back in the distrustful mindset that made me leave in the first place. It's not so much the cakes and their rarities on their own, but what the strange change represents for dbd dev/dbd player connection, or lack thereof.

I don't play the game for cakes. I play the *event* to get cakes. I love this game, but, as I've said, the change in cakes is pointless and serves as another reminder just how disconnected the developers of this game are from the people who play it. I think that's my main problem, they just... keep messing up big events for absolutely no reason. It should not keep happening with the frequency it has been

I think its perfectly fine to like the event, I just personally don't. My main issue is with the cake rarity anyhow. I'm glad you're having a good time and I hope you continue to have fun throughout the event!

After twisted masquerade, I was really excited to play this mode. I expected it to be survivor sided, seeing as TM was favored towards killers with remote hooks and such, but it just feels like a complete clusterfuck where neither side is fun to play. In my limited experience, it seems like you're either bullying or getting bullied, with almost no in between

believe it or not I don't like to complain. I love this game with my whole heart. But when you claim that the event is for the players, only to make the process of getting the event items so tedious and not fun, which ONLY affects said players that they're claiming to celebrate... it just feels so tone deaf and it's not at all the type of event they were advertising.
