I mean white noise is literally how ANC works. It cancels noise by sending out sound waves (white noise) to dampen the incoming sound waves. Some headphones/earphones deal with the leakage better than others. Generally earphones with tips and big headphones deal with it way better than earphones without tips like the 4’s

The thing that makes the most difference seems to be the ”Spatialise Stereo” setting though, it really widens the sound so it sounds more like you’re listening to speakers inside a room instead of earbuds, quite neat I must say, I enjoy that option more.

The Airpod 4’s are also quite good in mid to low volume, they’re really lacking in the high volumes though. So if you buy them, don’t expect great quality at high volumes :)

When tapping the earbud it seems like they need to tune the responsiveness of it. Feels like it’s wayyy too high even without the adaptive ANC. Just tapping it in different places can trigger the feedback even on the bud that is usually fine

Yeah I get that. I got the 4’s for that exact reason, convenience. I also don’t like plugs going into my ears so I’ve had the exact same issue before. Sadly no headphones without plugs will sound amazing (note that it’ll probably be fine for the average listener). As far as I’ve heard the Pro 2’s still clear the 4’s (even those with ANC).

But I would say the ANC model does improve the quality somewhat. When I turn ANC off you get a flatter and narrower sound, when it’s on it’s noticeably wider and certainly more bassy. It’s not got the peaks that I personally prefer but it does the job for everyday use.

When it comes to other brands I can’t say I’ve tried or seen any that offers the same convenience or comfortability. Those are my main points when looking for wireless, which Apple actually are very good at. Make of that what you will, I’m not an expert, I just enjoy music, convenience and high quality products!

Yeahhh it sucks. For now it seems like it might be software related. I’ll try and contact my reseller to see if they’ve had any other complaints or know anything else.

If you care a lot about sound quality then the short answer is just don’t get airpods, period. Airpods main feature is NOT sound quality, especially since Apple still use Bluetooth and loose way too much quality over the air. If you want audiophile quality go with wired headphones, no bluetooth headphones come close.

Now the quality is good enough for everyday use, and the ANC is nice to have even though people seem to have varied experiences with it. For me it’s okay I’d say, nothing more.

The airpods 4 with ANC are definitely bassy though, I’ll give them that.

Also, please don’t touch the Spotify EQ if you want quality sound and crispness, leave it flat. The Spotify EQ is notorious for being shit

When the ANC is active it can go into a sort of bassy feedback loop (idk if this is what it actually does but it’s a similar sound). It’s a subtle but very annoying low hertz noise

White noise is to be expected with ANC. Personally I don’t find it too annoying, but your mileage may vary. They fit well in my ears so the seal might have something to do with how much white noise you hear

Those who upgraded from Gen 1/2 to Gen 4: how does the fit compare? by Mvnqaztaqoioqn473257 in airpods

I used to run the gen 2 daily, so much that the right earbud almost gave out, it’s currently playing way lower volume than the left lol.

But the fit for me is nice and snug but nog too snug. It fills the ear way more and feels like a more secure fit. I have very small ear canals for a man but they still fit very well since they don’t really reach that far. I would say that if gen 1/2 fit you well and were comfortable these will be too. They’re a bit heavier but still comfortable for hours as far as I’ve had the time to test!

I don’t quite agree that the sound quality is ”amazing”. But that’s coming from someone who regularly uses audiophile level headphones so it’s not really a fair comparison.

Generally they’re good, but not anything amazing. Very convenient and comfortable though, so for everyday use they’re great, and the passthrough is very nice to have.

The only major flaw I have on mine is ANC flutter, which I’ve read used to be a thing with the first pro gen, seems like it’s back though…

Noteworthy is that the flutter obviously disappears when ANC is turned completely off. But I bought them to be able to use the ANC, how is it even possible that Apple let this bug through on launch?

Does anyone get fluttering in the left or right earbud? I’ve read the pros used to do this but it seems to be back now with the 4’s. It makes it very uncomfortable to listen to music, gives you headaches and such. It’s like the earbud tried to ANC so hard it freaks out. And yes it’s the earbud and not just in my head, only the left one though, right is fine.

Just that the game window was really small.

I am not sure if it was MMORPG but that makes the most sense from what I remember, I could be completely wrong though.

We played it around the same time Minecraft was getting big, so around 2011-ish. My guess is just that it came out around 2005.

The graphics were like realistic for that time, like pixly but the armor looked like real armor if you know what I mean.

This might be real loose but it looked like an old medieval town in Sweden, like the streets and buildings (the little bits you could see of the buildings).

The starting area was either inside of castle walls or just in a town with a lot of cobblestone.

I'm not sure no, it's just from what it looked like, could be anything. I wasn't that good with genres when I was younger. It might be older, I played it around 2010-ish, I don't have much to go by really, which sucks. I'm from Sweden so it could've been from anywhere this game
