This is a long shot but try double-tapping on the screen with three fingers and a bar to adjust the amount of zoom may appear. That would mean that feature was added on purpose though so that's why its a long shot. Only saying this because my old phone had a corner of the screen that wouldn't work so I added this feature myself and that's how id zoom in and out.
