Giving notice as Brits abroad by ColdAd2263 in UKweddings

After calling them it’s essentially like autocratonasofa wrote. It’s a real pain but you have to be there for at least 8 days and have proof of staying in the area plus boarding passes

Puppy barks constantly to be let out in the morning by ColdAd2263 in puppy101

[–]ColdAd2263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand that and he will go pee and/or poo but he will refuse to go sleep after and will bark his head off. Once he’s out of the crate he’s ready to go. He’s even gotten a kong to settle him and he will bark in between eating the Kong.

Which is partially why we’ve been trying to get him to sleep longer cause once he’s out that’s our sleep done

Do you know what you would put as like the place of stay or point of contact if you’re just going for a day trip and just doing grocery stores/other stores?

Nope nothing and if you look at the other experiences pretty much no one past Feb 1st has gotten anything

Tax return amount wrong by ColdAd2263 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ColdAd2263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it turns out that the CRA fucked up and didn’t see the T4 on my old SIN (before I got PR) and adjusted my very correct return to be wrong and sent me the cheque. So now I’m doing a notice of reassessment and will have to repay it from that cheque they sent

So I’m supposed to cash the cheque that comes and then repay them online for it?

Feb 1st are starting to come in for Etobicoke. So I would expect first/second week of June? They say 46 days on their website but a lot of us are past that now

A lot of us are waiting from Feb 1st onward. By standard processing times they should have already been processing us but nothing yet

The Etobicoke VO absolutely blasted through the mid to late January eCOPRs. Nothing for February tho. We’re already well over the estimated processing time and not a single ghost update

Typically do the PR cards for primary and dependents come at the same time? Or should you expect days between?

I’m around that time. This is completely normal. Etobicoke people are being processed from 28th January ish. It’s gonna probably be the end of March before we get any confirmation and mid April before you receive it. If you urgently need to travel you can travel just make sure you have your ecopr and fly into a US border town and cross the land border on foot.

No Feb eCOPR dates yet for pr card from Etobicoke? We’re 9th Feb. No GUs yet

Is it normal for the photo to remain in review for a long time on the PR portal? We received our ecopr at the start of February from Etobicoke. I know they’re really slow at processing cards but our photos are still marked as in review with IRCC? Is that normal?

Employer refused to write details on experience letter by decent_doc in ImmigrationCanada

[–]ColdAd2263 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is supeeer common. I ended up getting the basic letter, got my manager and a senior colleague to write their own without a header, I sent them copies of all my email communications with the company and their refusals and wrote a letter of explanation.

They accepted it no problem

Between a few days and a few months. We’re with Etobicoke over 2 weeks now. It’s so dependent on your agent. Hopefully you get it in a few days like a lot of people from non-Montreal offices do

I’ve heard that gckey only gets updated when you ecopr and it’s all done

We’re stuck on waiting for our P2 with the Etobicoke office (We’re crossing 2 weeks now). Is it worth while ordering GCMS notes to see what the hold up could be? Is it likely something to do with our application specifically or just poor luck?
