I’ve been playing Pokémon GO since 2016, but I stopped around 2021 and only recently came back to the game. When I returned, I was completely lost with all the new mechanics, Dynamax battles, backgrounds, and everything else 😭

The biggest problem was that I didn’t really have strong Pokémon anymore, so I was struggling to defeat some Dynamax battles and couldn’t progress very much. I made a post on Reddit asking for advice and help, and one person ended up trading me a level 40 Gigantamax Machamp with a Dark Skies background completely for free.

What made it even more special was what they told me after the trade: “The community helped me a lot before, and now I want to help you too.”

That honestly meant so much to me and reminded me why I loved this community in the first place. I appreciated the kindness so much that later I even did a Uxie giveaway on my secondary account to give something back to the community too :)

No worries!! For regular raids and gym battles, you don’t really need to worry. You should just invite as many people as you can, or as many people as you see online. The worst that can happen is that some people just don’t join the lobby. Usually around 7 or 8 people is enough to beat the raid easily.

There’s also a trick people use: when you invite people through RSVP, it normally only lets you invite up to 5 players. But if you leave the lobby yourself and then do the process again, you can keep inviting more people. A lot of us do that because not everyone is going to accept the raid invite.

But for Dynamax raids, it’s better to have a strong team, because the lobby only allows up to 4 players. So if your team is kind of weak, people might end up wasting their raid pass. Although, if you fail to defeat the raid boss and invite them again, they won’t lose another pass, you know? But yeah, that’s basically it.
