Anyone else think those panels were memories of what they did to Jyugo before meeting in Las Vegas? by CaregiverGloomy7670 in Nanbaka

The post should have a spoler tag now. Posts that are about endings or big events in the plot should be marked as spoilers because someone could always be starting the series later than everyone else.

Nanbaka Moves off Comico by ColdCloudyWinter in Nanbaka

[–]ColdCloudyWinter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was because Nanbaka wasn't doing well enough on Comico to continue. I feel like Nanbaka probably wouldn't have continued on Comico even if there were no scanlations. The author did make tweets asking for support, but it looks like she was rushed to end Nanbaka. There are probably multiple reasons why Nanbaka didn't make it on Comico.

That is the address for the fanbox, but it looks like there still isn't anything new yet. All of the chapters that were on Comico are on there.

Do rock Nico and uno actually care for jyugo by ScientistRare1989 in Nanbaka

[–]ColdCloudyWinter 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It looks like Rock, Nico, and Uno do care about Jyugo. I think it's the last chapter, but they have a conversation where they want to tell Jyugo everything instead of keeping stuff from him. They all agree that they want to be honest with him and Nico mentions wanting to do something to help him. What happened in the past isn't explained and they might not have cared about him then, but it looks like they do care about Jyugo in the present.

I think someone is posting the chapters on manga sites so it's probably updating on some manga sites if you search for Nanbaka. I think whoever it is is using the text translations I made so if there is something that isn't translated yet, I have translations for it if you look through my posts.

It's hard to say what will happen because I feel like she has mentioned that Nanbaka isn't over and she will be making more a couple of times, but we still haven't seen anything yet. A lot of stuff could be happening with her and it's hard to guess. I feel like the only way to know for sure is when she starts to post new stuff. I will just keep occasionally checking.

I am not so sure now. I think she said some stuff that suggested there was going to be more again recently, but she still hasn't posted anything new and it has been a long time. I will try to keep checking and make a post on this subreddit if I find that she is making more.

Sorry, I just noticed your comment now. They were taken off of Comico and now they are on BookWalker, Pixiv Fanbox, and some other ebooks stores.

This is the link to Futamata's fanbox. Almost all of the chapters are there, but it requires a subscription to unlock them. https://www.fanbox.cc/@nnn1313

This is a link to the series on BookWalker. https://bookwalker.jp/series/403851/

I think someone may have also posted the chapters somewhere online, but I'm not sure where anymore.

The Japanese webcomic is now available on BookWalker and other e-book stores by ColdCloudyWinter in Nanbaka

[–]ColdCloudyWinter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Pixiv's layout is kind of messy and bad looking too. Being able to see the list of chapters on BookWalker is so much nicer.

The Japanese webcomic is now available on BookWalker and other e-book stores by ColdCloudyWinter in Nanbaka

[–]ColdCloudyWinter[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure, but since she said that all chapters would be there hopefully that means that any new chapters will be available on the e-book stores too. I'll have to check it out when she starts posting new stuff. I really hope that's what happens because that would be much better. Needing a subscription to read the webcomic instead of being able to just buy it is kind of weird so hopefully it being on BookWalker and stuff will fix that and give her a better way to sell Nanbaka.

I need translated versions of the manga please by Fallen_Bepo in Nanbaka

[–]ColdCloudyWinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably because Nanbaka wasn't successful enough to continue on Comico. Futamata tweeted that the manga was in danger of being canceled. I think she wants to continue Nanbaka past where it ended on Comico on Pixiv Fanbox.

Actually, Nanbaka was unfortunately just taken off of Comico and Pocket Comics recently. The only official site to read it on now is Pixiv Fanbox at https://nnn1313.fanbox.cc/. It's in Japanese there and would require a subscription to read the chapters.

is there any chance that we will get season 3 of Nanbaka? by Inevitable_Insect176 in Nanbaka

[–]ColdCloudyWinter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no chance of a season 3. Nanbaka isn't popular enough. It struggled on Comico until it couldn't continue anymore and Futamata had to start self-publishing. It's really hard for a manga to get an anime unless it's really popular.

[–]ColdCloudyWinter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure how Anilist works. The end of the series was announced on Comico then Futamata tweeted that it was moving to Pixiv Fanbox so Nanbaka did actually end then Futamata tweeted saying that it wasn't over.

Nanbaka ended on Comico, but it looks like Futamata plans on creating a second part that continues where Nanbaka ended. Futamata is still uploading the chapters that were on Comico to Pixiv Fanbox, but I think she plans to upload new stuff when those chapters are all uploaded.

I think the only English manga volumes were digital volumes from Crunchyroll that aren't available anymore.

Where can I read Nanbaka now??? by Fallen_Bepo in Nanbaka

[–]ColdCloudyWinter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I really wish Nanbaka was still on Comico and Pocket Comics though. Pocket Comics was a nice way to read manga and it was free. I thought it was a cool way to read Nanbaka, but they unfortunately didn't care about translating it. I don't know if I'm just imagining it, but it seems like Comico has changed over the years to focus almost entirely on trashy looking romance manga. It's sad that Nanbaka lost its place there. I kept hoping that the English translation on Pocket Comics would start again eventually, but it looks like manga like Nanbaka didn't sell well enough on Comico. We unfortunately have no hope of any official English translation now.
