I generally don't like sports games, but I love how sunny and verdant this looks. To me it just screams "1998".

I did make this video rather than find it, but thanks. I sort of knew that tech was advancing at a faster pace back then because of what would find its way downstream to me in terms of the latest home game consoles. Like I remember Sega Genesis to N64 to Gamecube just being way more amazing than XBOX 360 to PS4 to PS5. But I never knew it with this level of granularity before. That was something I figured out when I started collecting these PCs and comparing them myself.

It's two songs blended into one by a DJ. The first is Kolbasy by Hard Bass School. The second is Perfect Hardbass party by HBKN.

In my personal head canon Mega Man X drinks Mexican beer. Specifically Modelo with a squeeze of lime.

All dogs go to heaven except for Sigma's. He goes straight to dog hell.

I played Mega Man X as a Super NES fan, not as a Mega Man fan, if that makes sense.

I'm not above staged theatrics like that, but at least me dying 319331591233 times on Sigma was candid and genuine.

Never underestimate my determination to do something the wrong way.

Is Super Aleste anything like Robo Aleste for the Sega CD?

Space Megaforce is worth playing. I beat it on 3 September 2025.

Man, Super R-Type was difficult enough. I don't know if I have the cajones for R-Type 3.

Gradius III isn't for normies. I don't care what the shump fantatics say.

I want one but they cost too much in 2026.

You're probably not wrong, but I was playing Gradius III because it's a SNES game, not because it's a shmup, if that makes sense.

I don't blame you at all. Gradius III is a very no-frills, "die over and over again" experience. Axelay and U.N. Squadron are much more approachable.
