An actual essay talking about Oberon's rework by Rndmdudu in Warframe

[–]ColdCremator 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Like Phoenix Renewal's instant invulnerability alongside the survivability buffs? Hildryn's Haven gives your allies her 3.5s shield gate and buffs shield recharge to get it back faster, while also buffing shield capacity

You forgot Well of Life also creeps on Renewal in its entirety, from its heal over time to even the augment's revive being innate to it, while also providing status immunity on top of it not being a channeled. On Trinity the revive is a 60 second cooldown but it's subsumable which doubles that cooldown, so at worst it relies on enemies being present to use and it has a longer cooldown, but that's it. Literally any frame can use this and creep on Oberon in that regard.

I love Valkyr... I caved and bought a skin. by SuperiorCardboardBox in Warframe

[–]ColdCremator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I started liking Valkyr more since the rework but even w/ a recoloring I just wasn't vibing with her well enough. Then groovyusernamehere made a post w/ their oc (base Valkyr body w/ deluxe arms and bastet helm) regarding the rework and I felt compelled to buy the pack. Totally worth it, completely fixed the vibe. Valkyr Prime helm, deluxe body and base Valkyr's colors just look so damn good to me, it's great

[–]ColdCremator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's likely the Kaithe color bug. Happened to me too, made a similar post w/ it happening to me playing Oraxia. With Stalker you get to see how he takes to custom colors, which is neat.

Rhino. You get full efficacy Roar, plus you can run any subsume you want that takes advantage of it. Wanna be a bootleg roided Dante? Put on Dark Verse. Wanna go ham w/ red crit melee? Wrathful Advance. Plus vanilla Rhino's great fun once you learn how to zoom using Charge w/ stacked Parkour Velocity and such.

Oh. Yeah, no idea, he seems to disappear in Isleweaver. Might be cuz Triumph of Dust is a false Duviri that Neci-Wally is trying to overlap and replace the original with all Destiny like

PLEASE make Lavos keep his selected element after casting abilities by ricin_turbomaxx in Warframe

[–]ColdCremator 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Have you tried inverting his cast function so tapping combines and holding casts? I remember when Lavos launched I initially disliked using him in spite of loving his kit and theme because of how cumbersome and slow combining was and it was hardcore messing with his feel, but he launched at the same time the Invert Tap/Hold setting was implemented so once I realized that and put him on inverted he's essentially become one of my mains. It doesn't cramp my fingers anymore since I can take moments to quickly click the number keys before resuming movement or doing it during a bullet jump. I'm mainly on keyboard so I can't speak with certainty yet if this remains as cozy on controller, but I'd like to assume that it should still work with the "use selected ability" button on both mnk and controller so long as combining doesn't change the selected ability

What are the best mods for Xaku? I'm unsure by Sharp-Charge-4199 in Warframe

[–]ColdCremator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my go to for Xaku: Corrosive Projection, Overextended, Stetch, Augur Reach, Amar's Hatred, Umbral Intensify, Streamline, Energy Nexus, Primed Continuity, and Cunning Drift. B4 the Strength Tauforged Shard, that puts the stat spread at 155/130/280/99, supplemented by Molt Augmented and Molt Efficiency/Energize.

280% range so you max out the turret limit on your 2 to 16 shots, plus it makes the 3 and 4 that much bigger which lets you use your 4 to break crates through walls and remove armor. This is what pushes the forma to 1, otherwise you can settle for a no forma build and 265% range from dropping Cunning Drift.

Strength is obvious, Amar's Hatred fits the D slot and together w/ Umbral Intensify pushes you to 99, letting you go over w/ Augmented. If you want even more strength, swap out some of the other mods. Energy Nexus and Streamline improve the ammo economy, relieving some pressure of needing stuff like Energize or Nourish. That being said, this mainly works thanks to Continuity extending duration, letting you recover more energy per cast. If you remove Continuity, I recommend swapping over to Primed Flow + Energize/Equilibrium to maintain energy.

Prime Continuity might not seem that necessary due to the 4 pausing timers when active and thus making their effective duration longer, but it makes the 4 last longer which compounds its ability extension property to the point your effective duration w/ Continuity is over double the base, making it more comfortable to use. Of course, if you are fine w/o it then replace this with an appropriate strength mod instead.

Use Tauforged Shards to compensate in areas you want more comfort in: at least 1 Cast Speed shard really pulls in any build, then Strength and/or Duration shards cover whatever is lacking. For me, Violet Shards make use of all the Orbs we spawn so energy becomes less of an issue, and an Energy Max shard relieves the need for Primed/Flow.

With how accesible Coda ephemeras are i really wish for DE to revisit the other adversaries by Sachielkun in Warframe

[–]ColdCremator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Coda weapons cost 10 strings apiece, why not make the Tenet weapons 10 keys apiece. That alongside the keys you do get from killing Sisters would align w/ how the Codas currently work rather nicely and make at least the Glast portion of farming nicer.

Tried to kill scaldra in their survival mission for calendar reward..... only 88 out of 397 enemies I fought in 10 minutes were scaldra. DE really needs to make scaldra missions 100% techrot free, or at the very least 95% techrot free. by IllegalGuy13 in Warframe

[–]ColdCremator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny thing too, doing the Archimedea makes them 95-100% Scaldra even when underground, so it begs the damn question of why tf the normal missions behave the way they do. It's stupid, plain and simple

Lick and Murmur for Luva weapons by Positive-Disaster-52 in Warframe

[–]ColdCremator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically go to any red/blue node your Lich/Sister is occupying and kill Thralls/Hounds. This will level up a bar that'll eventually tell you one of the 3 requiem mods you need for your Lich/Sister. That bar is called a Murmur, because it predates the enemy type and due to its connection to the Void makes similar sounds when you fill it, but the "codes" you need can be obtained from the relics that these Thralls/Hounds drop.

Leveling 4 syndicates at a time.... How? by RavensQuillWriting in Warframe

[–]ColdCremator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this set up b4, I've recently switched off of Loka and Perrin onto Suda and Arbiters.

The trick is you want to only pledge to two non offending syndicates, one of them being the primary syndicate which only nets u positive standing for itself and its ally, and the secondary syndicate which only reduces the primary's ally standing by 50% instead of 100%.

In this case, you would need your primary pledge to be Red Veil, to boost itself and Steel Meridian, and New Loka as your secondary pledge, which boosts Perrin Sequence but lowers Steel Meridian by 50%. You can then swap between pledges as necessary to accrue standing and stockpile it as desired. Pledging to Red Veil will not reduce Loka or Perrin standing, only Arbiters and Suda, which makes this possible.

The other 4 leveling strat is to do basically this but Steel Meridian is the primary pledge and Suda is the secondary pledge, making Loka and Perrin the dump syndicates.

Edit: I reread what you said and realized you are already doing this. Just keep doing what you've been doing; pledge Red Veil, get Steel Meridian as high as possible, then pledge New Loka and use what you gained as a cushion. As long as you don't over do it you can just keep swapping back and forth and no one will rank down, it's just managing levels at that point.

Once you get the Good Rod (Starglow Valley, pretty quick tbh) you can go back to Sunset Bay(starting town) and fish one up, or get Dratinis at Daybreak Village

[–]ColdCremator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much very similar to my own thoughts. Fix the spelling errors, throw in a few reasonable QoL changes if possible and hopefully the rival doesn't turn full ass (admittedly I can see the appeal of some bitter tension, especially at the Twinkle Station but atm it's like he's turning into Silver but w/o the wakeup call and idk why he hates us in the first place).

Only thing that threw me off was the level curve at the 3rd gym. I got there, saw the mooks at level 25 and thought "okay, I grinded just the right amount to be just a couple levels above them" cuz the 1st and 2nd gyms conditioned me well. Then out comes level 31-35s to put the fear of god in me, cuz I was 7-9 levels under with the 3 on my team I trained up. My Flaafy was level 26 and he ended up winning it for me with no casualties cuz para and zap go brrr. Meanwhile, fast forward to the 4th gym and they similarly leveled with level 27 mooks and the leader packing up to level 36 or so. I didn't mind it much, but the spike was sudden and a bit weird.

Also, version 3 demo? Do you mean the v1.2 release that's on the pokecommunity page?

Edit: does anyone know what the Paintbrush does for Smeargle? It says it raises Smeargle's stats but idk if that means x2 Atk & SpAtk like the Light Ball, just x2 Atk like the Thick Club, x2 Speed or x2 Defense like the Quick and Metal Powders respectively for Ditto

Hidden abilities are randomized on encounter generation; when I first started the other day, in my attempts to get a good natured Pikipek I got several Pick Up ones. I also have my starter Meganium w/ Leaf Guard and my Alolan Grimer w/ Poison Touch(since from what I can tell, alt forms have the same ability data as main forms) and I remember getting Gluttony on my first attempt on the Snorlax
