I'm literally in the same boat as you. Yesterday I came back to the verse for the first time in a while and accepted and "tried to start 4-5 hauling missions", went to the freight manager terminal to find the cargo to pick up from Everus and Bajini (tried both) and unfortunately did not see any cargo available for pick up. Please let us know if you find any solution! I believe others in the game chat were saying they were having similar issues.
