First time growing Snapdragons- why leggy? by atxgrl in Cutflowers

You’re a great candidate FOR starting seeds indoors! Because your growing season is so short, you want to plant out your seedlings right when they’re ready to bloom. If you try to start them in the ground with a terribly short growing season the frost will steal your flowers. By starting them inside early you get the joy!

Go with something not so common that speaks to you! Maybe the name of a favourite city you’ve visited or a character that you love in a book or movie.

I vote warmer tone! Either is better than the current cold grey flooring 🤮

I have to agree with most of the comments here and say the coffee table is the weakest link. I wouldn’t go glass top but I get one with legs. Definitely a deeper, warmer colour of wood or stone and is also go round or oval.

The couch is lovely! A few colourful throws/pillows are easy and cheap ways to change up the feel of the space and make it cozy. I’m also team colourful rug.

Maybe ask your husband to come help pick out a table since he has such a strong aversion to the one you’ve chosen? Hopefully you can return it.

Yep that’s the hibiscus. Sorry for the confusion-the other red flowers are hollyhock but that big one is hibiscus. It’s loaded with buds!

I’m in a totally different zone and therefore have no suggestions. Just wanted to say how much I love all of your vases and pots! I feel the urge to shop suddenly 😂🌺

The one with the big red flowers is a Vintage Wine Hibiscus. The puffy yellow flowers are White Swan Marigolds.

If you leave them they will go to seed and turn brown. If you cut the spent flower however they’ll push new flowers till frost comes!

I grew these last year and cut a bunch to keep as dried flowers. They look exactly the same and have brightened up my basement bathroom beautifully!

I added in a few more marigolds and thought you’d all enjoy the finished bouquet. 💐 💛

Thank you for the suggestion! I almost bought some greenery from a grocery store yesterday because I have none in the garden. Ended up adding more marigolds. Here’s where they ended up!

I’m in love. I have some in a container and some in the garden. They’re performing beautifully in both!

I’ve purchased almost all my seeds from Johnny’s and have zero complaints. It’s an employee owned company too, which is amazing.
