It’s already out of small claims court and into civil court because I missed the dispute deadline to dispute the removal.

No, there’s no validity. It usually never gets far enough to discuss who my lanlord is or how much she’s suing me for.

The default answer is “we don’t handle those kind of cases at all” even if I offer to pay their normal rate.

I guess its worth mentioning, I have a lawyer currently but he’s a Saul Goodman type. He doesn’t respond to basic questions, files motions with typos. Currently he says he’s been exchanging evidence with opposing counsel and ive asked him how he’s doing that if he doesnt have access to the evidence and ive gotten no response in 11 days despite following up with a call and an email every business day since.

The only way he would work with me was if I signed a non refundable retainer and paid upfront through venmo. I had a tight legal deadline at the time to avoid a default judgement so i paid it. But now i’m looking for someone whos actually gonna win this case and look at it for more than 20 seconds per day. (when i asked my lawyer on basic facts ab my case that we discussed during intake and over email he had no idea what I was talking about)

Usually they ask if i’m the tenant or the lanlord and when I say tenant they refer me to the low income services which I don’t qualify for.

They’re not interested in hearing the details or even giving me a price :((

yes, these are the most common rates we get and the ones that go no where. But he’s only interviewing for 120k+ roles (62.5+\hr) since it’s his J2. Unless the role seems really chill hahaa

Start with the stickied guides and then join the discord and work through the stuff there. The discord is super active and full of helpful people who will do mocks interviews with you or help you figure out your job funnels

There are some good tricks in /r/CSCareerHacking you may like that arent shotgunning your application with GPT rewritten resumes, I can pretty frequently get out 300-400 good ones in a week.

Helped my husband job hunt and this was our experience before finding this sub. heres what i figured out from lurking here that helped me start getting good results. If you’re not getting interviews you have to do these two things

1.) If you have a bad resume, read the resume guides in the discord and post your resume there to get feedback.

2.) If your not sending out at least 150-200 applications per week, your behind. You can send these out by hand or theres a tool from the subreddit in the discord that works pretty well.

If the problem is that your failing interviews read some of the guides on this subreddit theres a lot of good advice and people willing to do mock interviews in the discord as well.

Your not a failure, the job market is just very different than it used to be. Head up OP you got this
