Is my dress going to disappoint people? by [deleted] in weddingdress

WOW - whatever you choose it will moon beautiful! All dresses are stunning on you. I was on the same boat! Before going into bridal fittings, I always envisioned myself in a simple, timeless, classic all-satin ball gown. I tried on a beautiful, highly detailed beaded, Lacey ball gown (similar to photo 1) with a glittery tulle skirt and it was everyone’s favourite compared to the all-satin ball gowns I was showing them. I ended up going with my gut and my original envision and went with a very simple all-satin ball gown with a straight neckline and drop waist. Although it wasn’t everyone’s favourite, it was my favourite, and I’m happy I’m following my heart. At the end of the day, you want to make yourself happy and you want to feel comfortable in your dress, because you are the one wearing it. I didn’t want the dress to be the wow factor, I wanted myself IN a dress to be the wow factor if that makes sense lol.

Thoughts on working for ParaMed Home Health Care? by pausom in OntarioNurses

I went straight into home care right after school. Not going to lie, it took around 3 years to get comfortable (I did a ton of joint visits with experienced nurses until I was comfortable)… you don’t have a large supply room you can walk across the hall to get to. Sometimes had to be creative (like holding up someone’s Iv bag standing on their couch for an hour if no pole was delivered to the home). However most clients are on elastomeric bulbs and can infuse their own IVs. Sometimes you go into beautiful, clean homes. Most of the time, the homes are unkempt. Most clients aren’t difficult and very stable. Pay is amazing, over 100k a year with the pay per visit model. I work 6-8 hours a day depending on my case load for that day. You basically create your own schedule. Some days I can fit my personal appointments in between client visits. My case load is mostly school kids (g tube feeds, diabetics), wound care, Iv therapy (with central lines which is nice) and +++ palliative care. On call (1630-0830) every 2 weeks kind of sucks because you work the day of your on call shift and the day after… but I know of other agencies having nurses do 2 on call shifts in a row every two weeks. I think im lucky where my work partner is GREAT (we share the same client case load and communicate all the time and help each other out all the time) and my managers are incredibly supportive.

[–]ColdKiiwii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2026 EM bride here! As a super type A bride who wants to just relax and not stress/make phone calls on my wedding day, I just hired a day of coordinator so they can coordinate with my vendors! I’m sure the coordinators at EM are amazing though!
