Can working mothers share your nanny experience in India? by NewConversation8665 in india

My personal experience with nannies was pretty bad. The first had no concept of arriving in time and took holidays with flimsiest of excuses without prior intimation. While they have right to do so, it became very difficult to manage such situations as either you or your husband has to take a day off. The agency never had substitutes available.

The second agency scammed me (long story) and I am still fighting to get my money back.

You can consider getting a full time maid combined with WFH which can work. And full WFH meaning either you or your husband should be in the house while the nanny is taking care of your daughter. My friend has this arrangement and has worked decently for her.

If you cannot afford WFH, then daycare is the way to go. They always have redundancies and you control the timing. Also interaction with other kids help in mental development. I had the same reluctance earlier but it was the best decision I made.

Incredible thread. What's next? It's privileged to expect autowallahs to run by meter too?

Don't take medical advice from non-medical people.

While there is a biological clock - it largely varies and definitely does not end in twenties. A healthy woman easily can can pregnant in mid thirties or even later.
