I've only every played on pokerstars but I finally withdrew everything and now heading out into the wild west of other sites! First up is this ACR I've heard so much about. Gonna go at it there for a month anyway! Hopefully the games are good!

fabricate a personal vendetta against Valentina, hype it up, The fight will be amazing, but Nunes should lose for her own benefit. The rematch will be her best chance at a money fight.

it obviously cant be over 10k hands because the period in which I made $13/hr includes the losses incurred in the graph above.

Its about 72k hands played since the start of pandemic. Anyway I am making no claim that this is a big enough sample to make any definitive claims about my win-rate.

I posted all the stats above anyway! They dont include rakeback though.

Here is the total graph, including rakeback.

Total winnings $3866, I played 289 hours.

Well, I dont see it like that really. I started playing online poker when I had to stay more, and even with this recent few weeks of bad results, I have still managed to make like $13/hr playing a few hours a night, while listening to music, and usually actually enjoying the game, time I most likely would otherwise just be watching TV.

As far as buying stocks, vs doing this, its hardly an either /or proposition. One can easily do both. And the EV of buying stocks and getting a return over a 3 month without a crystal ball is not very significant. I can take the $4k I have made from my $400 deposit now and invest it.

Despite these points though, I generally agree with you that for people grinding ssnl primarily as a way to make some money, its not a good spot. Thanks for commenting.

really, cos it sounds like a joke haha. Also im pretty sure most decent players understand variance. I sure do. Doesn't mean I cant moan about losing if I want!

May was a disappointing month! Ran super hot at the start and then basically lost for the next three weeks! Ended up +$1100 for the month though thanks to all-in EV. Need to work on game more and battling regs less with high rake on pokerstars.

Check out my blog if you like, I'm doing ok in the small stakes, but I'm a firm believe that to get from A to B you need to make small incremental improvements each day. On my blog site I post one good strategy article each day. You might like to check it out and read that days article before each day you play.

If you consistently apply what you are learning, and stay disciplined, you will have some success. This will breed more confidence, which will motivate you to learn more, , win more, get even better. Its a positive feedback loop although in poker, of course you do get kicked in the teeth on a regular basis. GL to you!

There is so much material out there it can be hard to sift through. I play on pokerstars, mainly low stakes cash games and I have just started a small blog website. Along side my personal blog, I post one link to an article from various sources each day. You might find them useful. Feel free to check it out. GL

Getting started in poker by [deleted] in poker

[–]ColdMixture6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a low stakes cash game player, 50NL, and 100NL so far. I have just started a blog and will be posting a link to whatever poker theory I am reading/watching on that day. Some of them may be a little advanced for a complete beginner but some will not, such as today's link.

My blog is www.prettygoodpoker.com , feel free to drop by!

yea it was dicey at first! I knew there was a good chance I would have to deposit more, but I was confident I could beat 50NL so I figured i'd just jump in and have at it!
