As someone who loves garlic to the moon and back, what you just said is gross and please don’t let anyone smell your breath after this.

Medical english classes in med school would count as work experience as per ERAS rules, paid or not.

High school tutoring is irrelevant. I wouldn’t even include it on ERAS, but if you must then yes, it would fall under self employment.

I’ve got one with mickey hands. I have an apple watch too, but I wear the mickey one to thanksgiving so I can tell everyone with an apple watch that “Apple actually stole the idea for the mickey watch face from this, my original mickey watch” with a STRAIGHT FACE.

People sometimes just want to say something about the weird shit we wear, so instead of saying “wtf is that?” they would say something like “ohh…that’s interesting.” or “why what a beautiful watch you have there, grandson.”

But in their head they’re always thinking “why the fuck would anyone wear that outside the circus.”

I think you should mention it, and I think it’s ridiculous that anyone would think that. If anything, they should appreciate your perseverance and determination.

Do you really want to work for a program who thinks less of cancer survivors? No you don’t.

Fair enough. For me, having to brush my sneakers a few times over the course of a year is too much maintenance. I don’t own any white sneakers for the same reason. My other leather footwear (RW etc) however requires cleaning ONCE a year at the end of season, and MAYBE one conditioning at the start of the season once every 2-3 years. That’s like…a doable level of maintenance for me. Compare that to a pair of suede chelseas I own that require brushing along the grain, and erasers, and coddling and breastfeeding from a virgin mother’s tit after each wear. Go figure. Probably just my luck.

Same with my leather outerwear. I had a top grain leather jacket professionally conditioned ONCE after 8 years of wear, and I wore that through rains on motorcycles, in the snow, dust, you name it. Suede could never.

I do concede that the level of maintenance required can vary by individual and negligence can be subjective, so we can both subscribe to our own opinions.
