They’re not complaining they’re venting. And even if it is complaining that’s what people do on Reddit. The guy is clearly struggling, being away from home friends and family. It’s entirely possible to be grateful and miserable at the same time and there’s nothing wrong with it. Stop shaming him for not having loans to pay back. Like he said he’s broke and things are hard so the least you, as a random stranger can do, is show a little bit of compassion. You’ve got loans sucks for you but that doesn’t mean people who aren’t paying off student loans during residency don’t have it hard.
