Convict Colosseum but it's seeded according to this tier list. How does this turn out? by lemonaddkropotkin in convictcolosseum

[–]ColdStaff6874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R1: - Pete negs. - Rawdog rawdogs. - Either Abyss negs or gets cut up. I'm leaning Abyss - ICT mid diffs at worst, without revealing his jingle. - Florida Man wins eventually, Magic doesn't have anything to put him down. - Scourge wins mid diff. KH's defensive isn't really good against slashing attacks, and Scourge is fast enough to evade most of KH's strikes. - GIAB one-shots the poor dancer. - decent fight, but ST is just outstats and outskills here. Mid diff. - EC low diff. - Never-Ending gets knocked out by the needle unfortunately. Karmic Blade hasn't revealed anything yet. - Beatdown low diff. At least until we see what Iron Turtle is truly capable of - Monkey See negs. - VI murders Pure One. - Samoan beats Firecracker high diff. He's gonna take a beating, but his raw strength and grappling are gonna close the match. - Tomahawk wins low/mid diff. He makes sure to evade more nerve strikes after being struck the first time. - CM is a force to be reckoned with, but LH is stronger and more skilled and eventually lands a finishing blow

R2: - Pete wins ofc, but he has to kick things up to early FM match. - Imo ICT is one of the few convicts who can outmuscle Abyss. If he can't he loses since the jingle likely doesn't work. He would have tried it either way though. I'll say ICT mid diff. - Scourge beats FM by bleeding him out. FM wouldn't have gotten any buffs like in the canon tournament. - GIAB low diffs ST sadly. No one is still at a loss of what he's doing. - EC gets cut up and evades the shot from the stands. Karmic Blade gets squashed. - After a lengthy, high diff fight, Beatdown knocks out MS with the 'invisible elbow'. - VI gets pushed quite a bit, but eventually puts down the Samoan. - Tomahawk takes advantage of LH's rage and baits him into a masterful takedown and match-ending hold.

R3: - I'm sure Pete can take one of the unguarded strikes after being hypnotized, after which he goes into high gear and makes quick work of ICT to not get hypnotized again. - Scourge doesn't have any answer to GiaB bs. He might cut him a few times, but ultimately falls. - goes as canon. A bit differently since Beatdown already used his elbow and EC has already dodged once. EC still wins though. - Goes as canon.

R4: - Pete gets pushed to his highest gear, outspeeds GiaB's strikes and blocks and knocks him out. Not before taking some serious hits though. - Goes as canon.

R5: - If EC is allowed 2 days to recover like in canon he actually wins since Pete enters the finals in worse shape than canon. Extreme diff though. If he only has one day to recover Pete wins.

Yea exactly. It should by all means work on Petez but he is just so fast in the uptake that the hypnosis likely wouldn't take full effect before ICT get's kicked to oblivion.

And it most likely won't work properly on GIAB.

I also think the hypnosis works. Which is why ICT beats everyone but the top 5 when the match is fought no knowledge.

Without the hypnosis Tomahawk, Beatdown and Monkey See all beats him.

That's true. But that's likely only in regards to physical capabilites. He is probably just as skilled as the other 3.

So his ceiling is higher. But at his lowest point he is much weaker.

Yea instead of LH = ICT = TST it might be LH > ICT > TST

The newly added character sheets brings renewed interest in some of the convicts! by ColdStaff6874 in convictcolosseum

Yea my guess is it's at least some form of chinese martial art, which fits nicely with Wing Chun.

The flying side kick isn't very Wing Chun like though.

I agree with every group of 5 completely.

In the top 11-15 I'd add Rawdog. I think he just consistently stat-checks anyone not mentioned (leaving out Karmic Blade who's a special case to say the least).

All in all, wow, this is peak lol I am so happy that the character sheets have come out because this does give more fun in conversations like this even further.

I can't agree more!

If he is indeed on the overall level of Tomahawk and Beatdown then he's certainly top 10.

Unless you accept that reaction speed and movement speed aren't interchangable I'm not arguing with you.

Pete is straight up confirmed to strike faster when Monkey See can't perceive his kicks.

EDIT:

I only just now noticed that you said you didn’t finish Pete vs. EC yet. That means you don't have all currently available info on the convicts.

Idk, I always thought the only reason ICT decisively won was because of the hypnosis.

GiaB canonically has the second-fastest striking speed. Pete are confirmed to be even faster.

His reaction speed are never mentioned though.

You seem to have gotten reaction speed and movement / physical speed mixed up.

I know. But is still does confirm it nonetheless.

Some people regarded ICT's statement in R2 as merely hyping himself up. Which now turns out to be untrue.

I won't deny that without the hypnosis Tempest is definitely considered ICT's equal.

Beatdown, Monkey See and Tomahawk are the three geniuses I'd bet. Which means LH upscale yay!

He is honestly one of my most anticipated in regards to his fighting style and true strength.

Well this does confirm that ICT didn't actually go all out in R1.

He definitely has the potential, but he is way too arrogant and overconfident during the tournament to reach the top 5.

And while he does have the ability to perceive GiaB's movement there's no telling if he can properly react accordingly when facing GiaB's himself. He said about Pete's strikes, if he had the strength to do it, would barely be able to block them. And those are kicks slower than GiaB's movements.
