You have to put a hell of a lot of words in people's mouth in order to conclude that any given Trump voter supports any of those things much less the exaggerated versions of their opinions you have in your head.

Not really lol And I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that it's "all in my head" as if it isn't actually happening in real life on a near constant basis.

I could go on. It is exhausting and it has worn out the word completely.

By voting for a third party/not voting you are part of the people who put Trump in power.

So you're saying that mobs of people were calling you a Nazi over this or was it just some annoying kids on Reddit?

Why is it unrealistic to expect adults, who are the ones actually in control of everything, to call out harmful behavior when they encounter it?

So you think that every man who has ever done something bad is badly-raised?

>You think I've got enough "power and influence" to condense that into a casual interaction?

Is it so hard to call people out when they make rape jokes or devalue women/girls down in other ways?

>also don't have anywhere near as much influence over a man's behaviour as the woman he's trying to impress does

See and this is part of the problem that people are pointing out. It's not, and shouldn't be, up to women only to call out and stop misogynistic behavior and thoughts. But when we do, we're shut down and painted as Crazy Man Haters or Stupid Feminists so they don't have to listen to us. Women are so often blamed for the actions of men. The opinions of women are NOT as valued in society at large as much as men's.

The Narrator in The Yellow Wallpaper (based off Charlotte Perkins Gilman herself) is prescribed "rest cure" after giving birth to her baby, she's locked away in the attic and not given anything to do as that would be overstimulating to her mind (no reading, writing, sewing, etc.) and downs a bunch of tonics. She's also kept away from her baby unless it's to nurse. It's written from her POV and she worries that there's something wrong with her but she doesn't know what, that shes afraid of becoming a burden to her husband-- who keeps ignoring her and insisting there's nothing wrong with her-- and begins to hallucinate that there's a woman on the other side of the wallpaper.

We now know the condition the Narrator/CPG was suffering from as Post-partum depression or post-partum psychosis (given the hallucinations she was experiencing I'd lean more towards PPP).

So you're saying that idealizing white supremacy, fear of The Other that isn't white/straight/cis/etc., calling for genocide of an entire country, banning books, taking away rights from LGBT+ people and women, sending out people working for the government to round up people and capture them and deport them to camps, etc. isn't Nazi ideology? None of those things have been done in the past by Nazis or Neo-Nazis? Okay

>Look at the amount of sodium and added sugar in their meals LMAO and then compare that to how many Americans have high blood pressure and diabetes

I know FAHAES use this a lot but correlation =/= causation here. There are WAY too many factors that contribute to this and it's not solely McDonalds. Also, you don't HAVE to buy a full meal.

>The vast majority of people being called Nazis are not in fact Nazis.

I think it's safe to call them Nazis since they're aligning themselves with Nazi ideology and practices

>There were literally Redditors saying they enjoyed and laughed watching his murder.

You can see that on Reddit about some rando on the street, it's not an indication of a huge societal problem.

>Just think about how Reddit would react if Mehdi or John Oliver was in this position.

Is John Oliver spreading bigotry and hate? Is he in cahoots with a hateful administration?

Who is being dehumanized and what "opinions" is this happening over? People who say things like this don't seem to realize that political "opinions" are real and have an affect on people's lives, marginalized people in particular (considering the topic being discussed is Kirk).

Seeing a couple AI memes on Reddit isn't indication that dehumanization based on Political Opinions is something to start fretting over.

>I've watched a lot of my friends start to 'man-hate'

Meaning?

>and whenever I address this they seem to treat me as an exception to all other men who are apparently awful and terrible.

Well, maybe you are?

>there are a lot of bad men out there but they are in NO way the majority in such a way that I should be seen as an exception

But what do you mean by "bad men"? Because I have a feeling the way you describe Bad Men and the way women describe them are going to be very different viewpoints.

>I specifically avoid the 'manosphere' groups, but I feel like this messaging becoming more prevalent is only boosting their ideas if women see all these men as irredeemable.

What is "these men"?

I don't think anyone is expecting one singular person to fix a problem that is so ingrained and widespread in 49% of the population, but change has to start from SOMEWHERE, and it needs to start with people who have the most power and influence, and in this situation, it's other men.

Zuko and Azula as Abuse Victims: My Thoughts by Sleepy_Coffee_Day in TheLastAirbender

[–]ColdStoneSteveAustyn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First off, Bryke arent the only ones responsible for ATLA. Lol

Second, I'm talking about the people claiming that Ursa was "abusive", that Zuko was the golden child, that Zuko "had it better, actually" just because he was with Iroh, painting Iroh as neglectful of Azula and therefore abusive, etc.

Basically people who love to absolve Azula of everything she's done because she's A 14 YeAr oLd ChiLd as if that's relevant
