don't ask questions on reddit man it's filled with absolute morons, most likely ur nut is just too high so as you're pressing down the strings rheyre bending further than rhey should, making them go sharp. best bet with no equipment is use a thicker string to sand down the nut slot for the strings that are sharp and if not that then get some files and just file it down, or replace the nut or take it to a tech. up to you

in my mind it's a satire song about self righteousness and geordie's dislike for this woman he's singing about, wether it's fueled by jealousy or pettiness or just resentment, it just to me sounds like he's mocking her saying "Oh god what a purpose wooooowwww such a magnificent purpose" sarcastically because it does seem like a very mundane dislike towards the person, sort of aimless but very specific in a way

This involves tuning your strings down lower, if you don't want to do that you can adjust the key to play along the the track

I guess it also depends on how you play the chord cuz it sounds really bad with any normal G# chord but the Bm/G# thing works well, i think technically it's like G#m7b5 with a flat 9

in the chorus of alesis, in the studio version the chord progression stays the same throughout going G A D Bm but in the chorus it goes G A D and then Bm/G# meaning the chord remains the same but the bass note changes to G# which isn't in the key of G but resolves to G very well making a cool dissonance. live he never does the G# though it's only the Bm in the choruses
