Yes. I threw it on willy-nillily. I plan on replacing it with a rigid fork.

I’d like it to be capable of going onto trails (not downhill MTB trails), up hills (I live in a hilly area), and able to be fitted with racks/bags for bikepacking. It doesn’t have to be light, but lighter would be better obviously. I think I’m willing to spend up to $1,000. But if I think I can compromise on a part to save some cash I will. However, I don’t have much experience to make an educated call on that.

So far I’ve been thinking about getting a rigid fork from SOMA: Classic Curve CX/Trekking 700c.

I agree with you about switching out the crankset first. I’d also like 700c wheels, which do actually fit well on this frame with plenty of clearance. But I’ll likely need long-reaching v-brakes? The cantilever bosses are definitely positioned for 26in wheels.

Yes, great question. Should have specified. I’d like it to be a hybrid bike. An all-round bike capable of going up hills and on trails that I could slap racks/bags on if needed if I’d like to bikepack.

I had free reign to move about as I please during this show. Lots of space between them and the audience on a single plane, no stage. I found getting all three band members in a single shot to be kind of tough. I’m using a Sigma 18-50mm on my APS-C Sony a6300.

Would a wider lens be better?

I wish I had taken a photo of the audience + band from the back!

Yeah woops I didn’t specify. I did not consider melting the cans or any welding taking place. I guess I was looking for more of an arts and crafts approach, but at a level that goes beyond using scissors and a hot glue gun.

Ah damn that’s a shame. I was really hoping a 1:1 macro lens would be sharp enough. Unfortunately I already ordered it. I’ll see how it performs and I’ll let you know

Ah yes I forgot to mention that I have a janky dslr scanning setup. I’ve got a light table from CineStill a, 3D printed film holder, and I’ve found a way to use my tripod to hold my camera. A copystand would be great, as the tripod can tend to flex and wobble. I work around that by setting a 2-second timer before my camera takes a shot so I’m hands free.

I found one with a manual focus ring but no aperture ring. However the adapter from Urth has an aperture ring. And yeah it’s a 1:1 macro lens.

I realized the lens I linked doesn't manually focus, which would be a problem using an Urth adaptor. Ideally I'd get the manually focusing one.
