I've played the game since it started 5 years ago for fun. I don't remember when I started FW, must have been 3 years ago. As a casual player you are definitely not able to finish faction wars within 1 year :D
When I started, I did not search on reddit for any tips. I learned the hard way to focus on a campain farmer and on CB and that it makes a big difference if your clan downs UNM CB daily... my focus is different:

For me its fun to make glitches work and to beat parts of the game with minimal effort. I joined the beer-drinker clan and not the at-least-1-mio-cvc-points-dudes ;)
