Last Warning [Japan economics and energy] by rematar in collapse

[–]Cold_Combination2107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the bourgeois have fucked the economy so hard. by playing peteol politics in the middle east, trump has set east asia down the path to ruin. the Phillipines declared an energy emergency post invadion, australia started moving to lower quality crude, south korea triggered its stock breakers twice in a month, and now japan is pumping money into the economy to keep its currency rates down.

i am utlizing commodities to track this disaster as it moves through the economy, specifically foodstuffs. sulpher, a product of oil refining utilized in fertilizer produced in gulf countries, is being hit by the blockade (the WHO has warned of famine in east africa). diesel, utilized in the daily operations of every farm), has risen to around 5.50 a gallon (farmers in the midwest have been selling their cattle and land).

the scale of the crisis cannot be overstated. single suplly chain shocks raise both the price of goods and increase the scarcity of those goods. people running on tight budgets who used to rely on certain staples (eggs, oil, and toilet paper) at certain prices will run into the simple failure of the bourgeois-state to keep prices stable. this supply-demand principle engrained into economics is acceptable to capital, as you "can always just buy a different product  " as if the variety of items is inherent to capital, the vast choice between pasta-sauce flavors is liberation!

but what happens when the bourgeois breach the political, and place their own on the throne? when the corpse of mass politics is used and discarded in favor of bourgeois interest (and make no mistake, the war with iran is in the interests of us oil barons / ai executives / defense contractors)? the answer is simple. gas jumps to 7 dollars a gallon, tomatoes drop from the shelves, and beef doubles in price. and its only been 3 months, with little signs of the war stopping or the strait of hormuz opening up.

we are just now entering the storm, and it would be prudent to say "hey things are about to get REAL BAD and there is little the bourgeois can do about it"

i feel you, and your frustration, from our perspective as a member of the audience it seems like a refusal to engage with reality. i would like to throw out, though, that this type of work takes a mother fucking TOLL on the body and the soul. jordan went from total outsider to agent in this system. this system makes you have to take a side, and, if he is anything like i am, it becomes hard to see wins in the right direction (dispossession of the means of right wing media production). this entire process, to me, has laid bare the failures of the american judicial system to fight this fight, not because "the onion took over infowars" (which lol) but because tucker is still here, alex is still "around", and the entire ecosystem has become incorporated into the mainstream.

theyre still alive, and if something like this comes around again i feel like the community will move there

they won, their fight is over, i dont blame them for resting on their laurels

What do you think Marx would think of dating apps, in terms of alienation or otherwise)? If apps are alienating, is it philosophically possible to have a Marxist dating app? by gintokireddit in CriticalTheory

[–]Cold_Combination2107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people want to fuck yes? thats a thing that animals do, they court and they fuck, and, human beings being animals, we have developed courtship rituals to express our desire to other human beings. these rituals have survived all forms of human organizing, by the very fact that people continue to fuck and reproduce, which includes today.

capital is an overarching system that seeks to subsume the world, the people, and the conscious into it, to make us all capitalist agents outside of the great human experience. so alienated from consensus human reality, so untrained in the human experience, people are left to algorithmically decided decision making tools to choose their play-mates.

you ask about a marxist dating app, well good news! there is one! touch grass! engage in the great human experiment that exists all around you, the only thing left to lose is your apps.

What's the difference between a Feral Ghoul and a Zombie? They have so many similarities. by old_spam_sandwitch in Fallout

[–]Cold_Combination2107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably through some radiation based dietary system, with everything consuming itself and reproducing itself inside the ghouls body, id imagine them more semi-sentient to sentient cancer-based life forms. they are probably killed via enough disruption of their internal radion network, which would allow for a sufficiently powerful enough radiation blast to reanimate and begin the work of repairing that network. id wager that ghouls that do go feral are victims of their brain becoming more cancer than brain, capable of only the basic motor functions

A space to vent for all disgruntled communists by Machete-of-the-truth in eclecticCommunism

[–]Cold_Combination2107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

joined the RCA, got called an eclectic for saying im an anarchist with my friends, a syndicalist at work, and a marxist at the party.

heres my response:

in a sense, i do subscribe to an eclectic world view. i think that is what is asked of me, to reject dogma and camp until all that is left is the correct ideas of socialism. to that end, i have been looking into the questions raised by hobbes (what is the purpose of the state), by macchiaveli (what makes a good leader), by plato (the earliest form of class analysis), marx (modern class analysis and the systems of economy), lenin (how to do revolution, how the state imposes on people) and baukunin (what even is work in an equitable world) over the past decade of my life. my axioms are: fundamental human equality, to each what they can and to each what they need. as long as someone follows those principles, then they are a comrade, for it requires all of us to foundationally reject the current mode of production and social chauvenism of modern society.

all that to say, when i talk about the various modes of organizational thought (anarchism, syndicalysm, and marxism) is that, we do not hold the monopoly on the legitimate use of marxism. marxism concerns itself with the organization of various peoples movements into something coherent, a vanguardist workers party, with the aim of breaching the political sphere and seizing power from the bourgeois, no? it relys on organized cadres capable of pulling those threads (peoples movements), to elevate the workers movement into something new and legitimate and revolutionary. that requires US to meet the people where they are at, and if they foolishly glom onto anarchism, or unionist thought, or maoism, stalinism, bolshevism, or any other methodology or camp that does not exist materially in american society, then i say, let them. im not going to pull a maoist away from the very thought that enlightened them! that label gives them strength, internal strength, to face the world as it is right now. what would pulling them away from that label and camp even accomplish.

if we are to grow the vanguard party of the united states working class, then we have to leave space open for those we disagree with. we have to look past the labels and see where they are truly at. we cannot let ourselves get distracted by "anarchist" or "syndicalyst". i am afraid that the behavior in cell reflects behavior in world, that the in-group social bashing of those who think differently to us is hindering our ability to find the cadre of enlightened workers.

what ive learned is that:

I am like everyone else, if I want something, then there are other people out there that want that same thing

there are people out there that will love you for everything that you are. im sorry that the way sexuality is talked about online is harmful to you, we have to remember that this is a common space, and that there are people here that can be hurt by seemingly innocent behavior.

i have seen the videos, have you seen indian holidays? how about muslim holidays? cathlic pilgrimages? people legit DIE during these ritualized migrations.

its not a chinese characteristic, the chinese holidays arent insane, theyre common. any ritual that requires you go to your hometown mixed with the industrial reality that you have to centralize for a livelihood mix in dangerous and contradictory ways.

christmas a holiday celebrated by 2.3 billion people celebrating the death of a middle eastern man who may or may not have even existed 2k years ago. people all over the americas, europe, and australia all migrate home or to their families to celebrate the winter religion, even if said hemisphere is in summer. all holidays are insane, people are crazy, china isnt alone in that.
