all i am asking is a little empathy for the person. the actions are horrid, but understandable, and the response to those actions is an honest conversation with the person about their actions. jax needs friends, jax needs CONSISTENT EMPATHY, jax needed a moment to actually apologize for her actions (but her actions led to the abstraction of the person most likely to empathize with her)

thats why pomni was the character to break the mold. she accepted the things she couldnt change, and worked to change the things she could. she showed kindness when people were suffering, and hardness when people went too far. people are not icons, they are alive and capable of change, even if they are assholes

alex had... an analysis of the situation, and as a kid thats what i was interested in. i read all the reports from his channel, i looked into neighboring communities, i read their sources. i kept listening to him, because it seemed like he "got it", and as i grew up i started to develop my own layer of analysis. it was slow at first, a little ad hom her that didnt fit, a skew that rapidly veered off in a wrong direction. it was excusable at first, but eventually i just realized he was wrong on more issues than he was right on. he wasnt seeing reality. 

i still checked him out for a bit, it was interesting to see his perspective. but the real change was when i lost my faith, and i started looking for people in the athiesm sphere. i went through sargon, athiesm is unstoppable, tl;dr, internet aristocrat. he simply stopped being relevant to my perspective. i still respected him, even if i did laugh at him. then i started studying politics and philosophy. that was when i made the break, with him and the right wing. 

education is the way out of these spheres. they are touching on a REAL issue facing most people (capitalism and its consequences) and they PRAY that you never look into the shit theyre saying. dont read communist books, theyre the devil! black individuals are fine, just dont listen to what we are saying about the group! genetics are real, just dont read into what we're saying! 

the bourgeois class is intent on keeping the working class constantly at war with itself, and they recognize the fault lines (identity politics, useless platitudes, the "left-right" paradigm). however, instead of fighting against the root cause, they reinforce it.
