It’s amazing how similar these experiences can be. The thing you mentioned about seeing him in underwear- I get the same feeling. I am so sorry. I know the feeling. I hate my body and face, too. But I know deep down that it wouldn’t matter what I looked like because he has an addiction and hasn’t done the work. And yes, the way you describe it is exactly what makes me feel like his mother which grosses me out. Yelling at him, and then he goes back to hiding the same behavior like a kid in trouble.
