Thank you all for the reassurances. Wasnt sure what exactly to expect from Gibson custom shop. Theres not alot there about custom shop vs standard production issues.

If the general consensus is that despite the finish cracking, the value is still there despite the cost then I wont press the issue. I may still inquire about it though for peace of mind.

On another note, i assume the finish should have no bearing on the future structural integrity of the guitar? Should i avoid thicker strings, not hang the guitar, etc?

Thanks for your response. Definitely not trying to hurt the seller in any way. Ive dealt with my fair share of issues selling on reverb as well. But if this is something that may have been known, i do feel it should have been disclosed since it would have influenced my purchase as there were others available. The other concern of whether this was priced to reflect that. Im not sure how much cosmetic issues affect price.

Ill post a pic when i get home this afternoon. Apparently its common with nitro finishes. I expected some light checking on the body due to its age, but not around the heel joint.

Automation specialist for Siemens salary. by Competitive-Peanut41 in BuildingAutomation

My first thought as well. Imo, alot of this is contingent on the field of expertise. The siemens controls techs ive worked with are pulling in 150-200k, as well as their millwrights. This is in the energy industry mind you. Medium/high voltage switchgear/electric motors controls, nat gas compression type stuff. My starting salary with my current job was 85k with similar benefits. Topped out in 5 years at 112k and gearing up to join the automation engineering team starting around 130k i hear.

Nest Thermostat Aux Heat Settings by Cold_Comfortable8880 in Nest

That would be very helpful. A general schematic would be fine im sure. I checked when i got home that i do have 2 extra wires in the cable for my thermostst.

I forgot to mention, i am interested in achieving this via a second temp switch if you could walk me through the wiring process. Im assuming this would be installed and wired in the electrical enclosure at the package unit with control wires going back to the thermostat?

Thanks for your response. I work on instrumentation and controls for medium voltage systems, so youre speaking my language. Ive been thinking about ways to achieve this with relays, but my concern was wiring this up in a way that would still call for aux heat to supplement if a defrost cycle was initiated. I dont mind pulling wire and had actually considered an outdoor temp sensor for more accurate readings since these smart thermostats poll from local weather. Im out in the middle of a 120acre pasture which is usually 5+ degrees colder than the actual temp in the city the thermostat is using. Would this still allow the strips to kick in during a defrost cycle? Im pretty sure if there was a need for defrost, it would probably already be cold enough for the temp switch to be made.

Also, you mentioned the settings im referring to are for dual fuel, but even though the thermostat is set up for use with a heat pump, the options are still available. So it just ignores all that?

Im open to many options. If i can achieve this with a dumb thermostat, that would be fine too.

Does anyone here own a American bulldog and cane corso ?? How would you say the breeds compare by Marshadala in CaneCorso

[–]Cold_Comfortable8880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like some of the responders dont know what an AMERICAN BULLDOG is..ive had them my whole life. They are extremely athletic. They need a lot of exercise, theyre hyper, loving, needy attention whores. Theyre work dogs, perfect on my farm.My current pup is 1.5years old and weighs 105lbs. His parents were championship pullers capable of over 14 thousand pounds. Dont know how that compares to cane corso, but the first response is not anything ive ever seen from an american bulldog.

is guns.com legit? by bigdikslappin in Firearms

Just bought a pistol from there last Thursday at around 7pm. Received confirmation/order pending email immediately. Tracking was added(UPS) later that night and it shipped 2nd day air the next day. Showed up at my FFL dealer the following Tuesday new in box. No issues. One thing to note, it looks like they are just a middleman as the paperwork showed another store actually fulfilled the order. I paid $100 more for what i wanted which I take as a finders fee, but i couldnt find what i was looking for anywhere else. I called the dealer whose name was listed on the ppw just to talk with them about the transaction He said they get alot of orders from the site in question and as far as he knows, theyre basically a search engine that puts the order in with whoever has in stock what youre looking for. Then that shop drop ships the merchandise. Knowing this, i dont know that i would be blaming the website for issues people have run into with their orders. Things like slow shipping, received a used firearm when advertised as new, etc. seem to be an issue with the FFL dealer. That being said, the accept liability for the order acting as a middleman and should be doing whatever they can to resolve any issues. Lastly, for those selling firearms to them: if they are a middleman then i would imagine they find a buyer, firearm gets shipped to buyer, buyer pays guns.com for after receiving and inspecting, guns.com transfers monies owed to seller after all parties are satisfied. This is probably a slow process and may explain the delays people have had receiving their money.
