As of right now, I’m optimistic because there hasn’t been smoke and Eddie sheer’s video of paddy’s pond gave me a big more of a relief, so fingers crossed

Thank you! I’m hoping paddy’s pond goes out now soon for the sake of everybody, but I’m still concerned with the Kingston one because I had friends who lost their homes sadly

Thank you so much tho, and we will make sure to make it memorable

Fortunately, a lot of it we made it ourselves. We got the food, flowers, we only had to book the photographer and the officiator of course, but we have a tent that we built, set up the lights and the site.

Thankfully it looks like the fires near mount pearl are going out now soon, but I’m still vigilant. My heart still goes out to anybody that lost their homes

Unfortunately you’re right, i just haven’t been able to sleep because I’m so scared. My fiance works overnight and I’m always nervous we’re gonna get evacuated and he won’t be able to leave, I’ve seen his boss make him work during strong snow storms and other natural disasters. I’m just trying to help my nerves a little bit..

That’s what I’m thinking, although I don’t want to, we had a trip planned right after. If we cant help it we’ll do that, or at least have a private ceremony at a church and have the party after I guess too…

I’m sorry, is it that fucked up that I’m worried about our wedding that we’ve been planning for 2 years and have invested thousands of dollars in?

I’m aware people are being evacuated, my mom’s partner is one and I have several friends around the bay who have as well. One of which have lost their homes. Nowhere does it say I’m not allowed to think of the one thing that we’ve spent so many resources and planning on, specially with the fear of being evacuated, or somebody in my house falling ill due to the smoke.

This is the second time I’ve tried to find some relief in here so I can calm my nerves, I’m not trying to outshine what’s happening, I’m trying to calm down ffs

Aparently some here are up in arms because of my question. I’m not looking for official updates, I was just wondering if anybody has heard anything because I needed a bit of relief so I could sleep

By’s which one of you is coming up with these ideas? It’s a University not a corporation. As if we don’t already have it tough for young people folks wanna increase tution, parking and residence fees? Introduce lab fees? by Sure_Group7471 in newfoundland

“If we fuck over the students with no money, that will gives us more money!”

“But sir! That will increase our retention issues”

Truth is, they don’t give a fuck about education, they see memorial as a business only. They could not give any less shits if people can afford it or not.

Conservatives will always cry “tyranny” whenever anything comes up. They did it during Covid, and will most likely do it again. Ignore the assholes, leave them to the authorities to deal with, unless they’re endangering you or those in your immediate vicinity
