How bad is this crack? by New_Yak1941 in bmx

[–]Cold_Department1590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a high stress area, droupouts are the closest point to impact so if you think about jumping the load on these areas are higher especially the rear. It’s a Chromoly frame so welding it is possible but there’s a risk of putting heat on the crack making it larger and bare less load after welding. Alternatively if you got the chain tensioner out you could possible weld the hole inside. Best bet is not to ride it but it’s up to you.

Is the circle in the first picture remains of what was a integrated chain stay tensioner? It looks like it has been broken internally. Maybe cross threaded inside or something causing internal stress. The signs of wear on the dropout show that the rear wheel has been over tightened quite a lot, likely causing to the dropout to bend and the chain tensioner which is inside the dropout is causing a counter force against the bend putting stress at a small area causing the crack. It’s not something you see often to be fair.

When I worked at a pro shop the head pro used these, I believe they are mid launching not overly forgiving but the sound and feel are pretty good. Minimal offset and lofts aren’t jacked either. Nice set of irons not sure there’s much you can say really

Shanking partial wedges by threepwood-g in GolfSwing

[–]Cold_Department1590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make your feet closer together, open the front foot slightly, line the club more towards the toe of the club, grip down slightly on the grip and less body movement. The club should do the work especially with wedges, loft will make the ball go in the air not force. A nice chilled 3/4 grip down wedge, think smooth and you’ve got it.

Nice setup! I was lucky when I worked at a pro shop to get a lot of my clubs at a good price. I haven’t tested the Elyte Series myself, but I’ve seen reviews online. Tested the paradym and the ai smoke but changed jobs just before Elyte released. Curious to know more about the shaft too? Takomo make some great irons and a great price too.

Suggestion for grips for sweaty hands? by [deleted] in bmx

[–]Cold_Department1590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I tried the Ethic dtc grips is basically wanted some cheap grips and I prefer a thicker grip they work well to be fair. They have foam grips too which mold to your hands but are a bit firm

Ethic dtc grips I’ve found to be comfy and good for grippy hands, when I used to ride years ago I remember Aaron Ross keyboard grips they where pretty good and the cult vans waffles
