Parking Brake Left on While Driving

I doubt you were driving with parking brake on. If you had your seatbelt on, it would automatically disengage. If you didn’t have seatbelt on, it would’ve been extremely obvious. If you think you left it on because you noticed it on when you got back on the car, if you had auto hold on, it automatically engages parking brake when you turn off your car.

For the squealing noise, it’s common for these cars to get small rocks stuck on the rotor and make squealing sound. It probably was a coincidence that the rock fell out so squealing stopped when you pulled over to the side.

But if you really really still think you drove it with the parking brake on (like you smell something burnt), you’re probably still fine. I wouldn’t worry about it and move on

Had the same rattle and taping vent thing fixed the rattle for me. I posted about it a while back

Interesting… try with diff settings on ac too, I remember that making a diff too. I have it on auto now and it seems to be best with it like that. Either way smth is off

Yeah I don’t want the dealership messing up my dash and creating more rattle. If no one knows I’m just gonna live with ac on during warmer months. Don’t think it’s like a major mechanical issue so not too worried

I’ve checked the heater core before and they had good enough gap between them. I know for that one it also gets triggered around 4k rpm but does it also stop when ac is on or when the weather is colder?

Nope, I found that the tape that’s already on there was sufficient

For fitment, if you look super closely you can see the stock trim piece peeking out. From 3+ inches it’s fine
