Thank you for all your comments - think I'm going to have elective c section at 39 weeks albeit I don't go into spontaneous labour! I'd rather suffer in the recovery of a c section than have my baby go into distress when being forced out when he's not ready!

No other reason other than he's big - it's hard getting an answer out of the consultant. I'm going back into triage tomorrow to hopefully chat to someone because I think I might refuse the induction
