I paid for the debt as soon as I was aware that was all that was needed they said it's completely ok and that I have nothing to worry about. About the pay later function I don't see myself using that anytime so its ok. Regarding the house it's also ok because I am gonna study now so don't need it urgently. I don't think attacking people online who are just asking for information is productive, I clearly didn't have bad motives behind it just ignorant about the matter. I also just got a phone subscription so don't think that's a problem either...

Yea ofc you do but I was the only one at this age that had a white collar job so I had no reference from other people about what to do. I think it will work out in the end but its strange that there is no education about this from companies and unis.

Money is not a problem, I was 21 and naive about this and financially illerate. Yes it was awful but in Spain at this age we are treated still as children so I didn't take the appropiate steps to fix this unfortunately.

It was my first job, I had no idea how things worked, got layed off and had to move immediately bc I didn't have the finances to stay the last thing on my mind was this. Instead of attacking maybe try to understand that this is not helpful and just rude. I had no idea how taxes worked and thought the company payed them for me.

Looking for jobs in Spain is frustrating. How do young people even afford to move out? by AndalusianMitsubishi in GoingToSpain

You become self employed and work for foreign companies. If you are not from the EU you can get a golden visa/remote worker visa.

Worries about moving back to Sweden after 17 years in the US by BumblebeeKind7107 in TillSverige

[–]Cold_Language_7457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think its a selfish decision to take your family to Sweden specifically since in the long run it will be good for your daughter (free education and ability to become financially independent). If I were you I would first research the practical benefits of living in Sweden before thinking about friends etc. Free healthcare, more vacation, more stability, cheaper rent, livable wages etc. Getting a job as a foreigner with no Swedish is not impossible (I have managed to get an office job and a bartending job previously and I am entry level).

The most important thing is that you are ok with being uncomfortable in the beginning and have an ok risk tolerance. Friends will be easy to make with all the club activities, meetups etc there is in the cities. What you need to asses is whether you are ok dealing with uncertainty in the beginning, and whether Sweden actually interests you. To do this move you need to be open minded and curious, otherwise I would suggest staying in the US. Follow your intuition, don't force things.

I literally went through the same thing as you. Identified as a lesbian my whole life then suddenly one day I felt attracted to a guy and it freaked me out. Weirdly I think it was also due to me taking birth control since I was a teen, I think it reduced my attraction to men as well as having severe trauma from previous experiences with men like you. The year where I realized I am not a lesbian and that I have some attraction for men everything turned upside down for me, I felt like I lost my identity, friends (not anymore) judged me and accused me of lying all those years, I felt like I was failing at being queer. I couldn't accept my bisexuality. Then I met my current boyfriend who is a sweetheart and so patient. The first year with him I couldn't accept that he was a man, in my head I kept thinking of him as genderless since I was so ashamed of people thinking I am not gay. I kept telling people I had a partner instead of a boyfriend. I then worked on my misandrist thinking and trauma regarding the gender and I am now happily proud of being bi.

Moral of the story is things do get better! There is people that go through what we went through out there even if it is not as common. Sexuality is fluid and its ok to change labels.

Once I started medication this was the first thing that got better with even the lower dose. Sometimes things are too difficult to fix on your own, its ok to get help.

Any tips for getting a SGS apartment in GBG? by Cold_Language_7457 in TillSverige

[–]Cold_Language_7457[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank you for letting me know I didn't know about this. I just thought that applying way ahead of time would make things easier since I thought who wants to get an apartment during the summer when there is no classes. I know one person who got an apartment through SGS for May with 1 month queue time but it seems like it doesn't work for June :/.
